Removal and replacement of container shuttles from rail tracks
Systems and methods are disclosed for removal and replacement of container shuttles from rail tracks. An example system for a shuttle coupled to a permanent magnet may include a track comprising a first rail segment and a second rail segment. The system may include an electromagnet disposed along the track, where the permanent magnet is separated from the electromagnet by a first vertical distance when the shuttle is coupled to the track. The system may include a first ramp comprising a first angled portion and a first flat portion, and a second ramp comprising a second angled portion and a second flat portion, the ramps configured to be removably coupled to the track. A vertical distance between the permanent magnet and the electromagnet may be equal to or greater than the first vertical distance as the shuttle moves upwards along the ramps.

A transport system includes: a transport path housing; a first magnetic force unit provided in the transport path housing; a transport vehicle that includes a second magnetic force unit provided so as to be able to face the first magnetic force unit and is able to travel along the transport path housing while being levitated by magnetic force acting between the first magnetic force unit and the second magnetic unit; a rail on which the transport vehicle lands to be able to travel, the rail being provided in the transport path housing; and at least one moving means for moving the transport vehicle in a landing state where the transport vehicle lands on the rail, to a position where the transport vehicle is be able to be levitated by the magnetic force.

Systems and methods are disclosed for automated reorientation of sortation shuttles. An example system for automated shuttle reorientation may include a track having a first portion, a second portion, and a rotatable portion that a first end and a second end, where the rotatable portion is configured to rotate from a first position to a second position, and where the first end is adjacent to the first portion of the track in the first position, and the first end is adjacent to the second portion of the track in the second position. The system may include a shuttle configured to move along the track, where the rotatable portion of the track is configured to rotate the shuttle from a first orientation to a second orientation.
