Control system for hybrid vehicle
A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to reduce frequency of establishing an engine braking force is provided. The control system is configured to operate a first motor as a motor to increase torque of an output member while halting the output shaft of the engine by a brake, and to increase the deceleration torque of the second motor, if a state of charge of the battery is higher than a predetermined threshold level when deceleration of the hybrid vehicle is demanded.
HYBRID VEHICLE
A drivability target engine speed is set based on a shift stage based on an accelerator opening level and a vehicle speed and the vehicle speed, and a base driving force is set based on an accelerator required driving force and the drivability target engine speed. When an elapsed time after an accelerator depression amount increases is less than a threshold value, a correction driving force is set based on an increase in accelerator depression amount and an engine, a first motor, and a second motor are controlled such that an effective driving force obtained by adding the correction driving force to the base driving force is output to a drive shaft for a hybrid vehicle to travel.
DC/DC CONVERTER, BATTERY ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND HYBRID VEHICLE
A DC/DC converter for a hybrid vehicle, a battery energy management system having the DC/DC converter and the corresponding hybrid vehicle. The DC/DC converter is configured to control an output voltage to be output to the low voltage grid in accordance with a battery status parameter information and/or a vehicle running status parameter information in the high voltage grid or the low voltage grid. This enables the state of charge of the low voltage battery pack to be in an appropriate range, and a space for storing the free energy is provided, which means more fuel saving. According to different vehicle running modes, the DC/DC converter can automatically control the output voltage to be increased or reduced.

Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide system for optimizing electricity generation in a vehicle by managing temperature in vehicle engine and various components to increase efficiency of the engine and various components. In one embodiment, the electricity management system includes a generator connected to a high-power storage device, such as a battery or a capacitor, and a DC-DC converter which includes multiple voltage set-points.
CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A VEHICLE SYSTEM
A system and method generate a trip plan for a trip of a vehicle system along a route. The usage of an engine or fuel cell during the trip is determined based on engine operational parameters, energy storage device operational parameters, and one or more objectives of the trip desired to be achieved. The usage of the energy storage device during the trip is also determined based on the engine operational parameters, the energy storage device operational parameters, and the one or more objective, including when to charge or discharge the energy storage device during the trip.

Vehicle charging apparatus
A vehicle charging apparatus includes: an electric generator 3 that is driven by an internal combustion engine 1 and outputs an adjustable alternating-current voltage; a rectifier 4 that converts the outputted alternating-current voltage to a direct-current voltage; an electric storage device 5 that is charged with the converted direct-current voltage; and a voltage sensor 6 that measures an output voltage of the rectifier 4. The vehicle charging apparatus is provided with a control device 7 that controls the electric generator 3 for a charging voltage to be a target charging voltage calculated from the output voltage in order to suppress a charging current to be lower than a charging current upper limit value when the electric storage device 5 is charged. It thus becomes possible to achieve efficiency higher than that of a charging apparatus in the related art while preventing deterioration or damage of the electric storage device.
Charging apparatus and electric vehicle including the same
A charging apparatus and an electric vehicle including the same are disclosed. The charging apparatus includes a converter for, in a charging mode, converting an input alternating current (AC) voltage into a direct current (DC) voltage and a controller for controlling the converter. The converter includes a motor and a switching unit that is connected to an additional coil wound on a stator of one phase of the motor, and that supplies the input AC voltage to the motor by performing a switching operation. The converter also includes an inverter that, in a motor operation mode, converts a DC voltage from a battery into an AC voltage by a switching operation and drives the motor. In the charging mode, the inverter converts the input AC voltage into the DC voltage using the additional coil of the motor and the switching unit and supplies the DC voltage to the battery.

A control system for a vehicle having two motors is provided to limit damage on rotary members even if an excessive torque is applied from drive wheels. The control system comprises a first motor, a second motor, and a locking mechanism, and a differential mechanism disposed between the first motor and the drive wheels. The locking mechanism halts one of rotary elements of a differential mechanism when torque of the rotary member is small, and allows the rotary element to rotate when the torque of the rotary member is large. A controller is configured to increase power output of the first motor and decrease power output of the second motor during propulsion on an uneven road surface.
