VEHICLE SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A vehicle safety system and method is provided for preventing heat related injuries in hot cars. The system includes a sensor, to sensing the presence of a child or animal in a stationary vehicle; and a controller, configured to issue an alert in response to the detection of the presence of the child or animal in the vehicle. The controller may also be for controlling a change in temperature in the vehicle in response to detection of the presence of the child or animal in the vehicle.
Car seat with warning function
A car seat with a warning function includes a seat body having a seat cushion, plural adjusting posts, a wireless transmission module, a control unit and a warning element. The wireless transmission module is in wireless communication with an electronic device. When the adjusting posts are pushed by the seat cushion, the lengths of the adjusting posts are changed. If the control unit receives a body curve data from the electronic device and judges that the body curve data complies with a predetermined body data, the control unit changes the lengths of the adjusting posts according to the body curve information. Consequently, the shape of the seat cushion fits the body shape of the user. If the control unit judges that the body curve data does not comply with the predetermined body data, the control unit controls the warning element to output a warning signal.
Vehicle temperature control system for children and pets
A vehicle temperature control system for children and pets provides a plurality of pressure switches beneath the seats, as well as motion sensors, to detect the presence of a child or pet in a vehicle that has been shut off and parked with the doors locked. If the presence of a child or pet is detected, the system engages the climate control system, and maintains a comfortable temperature within the vehicle interior. The system provides a key fob wherein an alert light is provided, and transmits a signal to the key fob which activates the flashing alert light The system also transmits an SMS text message to the user's cellular telephone, indicating that a child or pet may have been left in the vehicle. The system also locks the transmission in park, to prevent a child from shifting the vehicle into gear after the engine has been started.
Child Passenger Safety Seat Emergency Cooling And Notification System
A system for detecting hot car seat situations, manually cooling the child in those situations, and facilitating one or more alert notifications is disclosed. An apparatus receives sensor data that it uses to detect the presence of a child in a car seat in a vehicle. Multiple sensors provide added security against false positives. When a child is detected, the apparatus activates a cooling flow of air towards the child if the temperature rises above a threshold. The apparatus waits until the vehicle is not moving and off before initiating notifications to one or more subscribing devices. Once off, and once the temperature of the child further rises or has the air flow on for a period of time, the apparatus sends a notification to the subscribing devices. If the child is not removed within a set period of time, then emergency responders are notified.

VEHICLE SEAT REPOSITIONING
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for repositioning vehicle seats are provided.
Seat system with sensor and user interface
To provide a seat system that allows the information of the user seated in the seat to be acquired by another user, a seat system includes: a seat main body; at least one sensor provided in the seat main body; a control device for processing a signal from the sensor; and a first user interface communicating with the control device and notifying information based on a signal from the control device. Preferably, the sensor acquires information obtained from a seated person who is seated on the seat main body. Preferably, the seat system includes a camera for capturing an image of the seated person who is seated on the seat main body, and the control device causes the first user interface to display the image captured by the camera.
Control device, program, and control method
A control device that is communicably connected to a vehicle includes a control unit. The control unit executes acquisition of sensor information from a sensor provided in the vehicle, determination of whether the vehicle is parked based on the sensor information, determination of whether a user is staying in the vehicle based on the sensor information, and estimation that the user is staying in the vehicle when a parking time of the vehicle exceeds a first reference value and a staying time of the user exceeds a second reference value.
Method and apparatus for controlling a safety device of a vehicle, and safety system for a vehicle
A method for controlling a safety device of a vehicle. The safety device reacts to an imminent collision by an intervention in a longitudinal and/or lateral guidance of the vehicle. The method includes reading in environment data and trip data regarding the collision object in an environment of the vehicle and the vehicle, and seat occupancy data regarding an occupancy state of at least one seat of the vehicle; ascertaining: an expected impingement side of the collision object on the vehicle; a velocity change of the vehicle in the context of the collision; and a seat occupancy distribution in the vehicle, using the seat occupancy data; executing an evaluation of the velocity change with regard to a threshold value and/or of the seat occupancy distribution relative to the expected impingement side; generating, depending on a result of the evaluation, a control signal for the safety device.
Morphing bench seat
A vehicle seat including at least one outer frame on which an outer part of a seating surface is supported, and at least one inner frame on which an inner part of the seating surface is supported and which is movable relative to the outer frame.
