Adjustment system for an occupant support

An occupant-support base includes a seat pad and a pad-extension system. The seat pad includes a fixed portion and a movable portion that is configured to move relative to the fixed portion. The pad-extension system is configured to move the movable portion to fit occupants of different sizes.

VEHICLE SEAT SYSTEM

In a vehicle seat system, lowering of a seat cushion further toward a vehicle lower side than a lowerable limit value corresponding to a recline angle of a seatback is restricted by a control device in cases in which the physical build of an occupant is smaller than a predetermined value. This enables a reduction in the ability to restrain the body of the occupant using a webbing to be suppressed.

A seat assembly includes a seat frame, a sub frame, an electric motor, a transmission, and a flexible drive shaft. The seat frame includes a front support portion and supports a bottom cushion. The sub frame has a top plate and a base plate. The top plate supports a front cushion and rotatably supports a screw gear. The electric motor includes a first output member and is fixedly mounted to the front support portion of the seat frame. The transmission includes an input member and a second output member. The transmission is fixedly mounted to the base plate of the sub frame. The second output member of the transmission is drivingly connected to the screw gear of the sub frame. The flexible drive shaft is drivingly connecting the first output member of the electric motor to the input member of the transmission.

Linkage extension system with damped motion

A linkage extension system and method for holding an extendable portion of a seat in a desired position while the extendable portion translates from a retracted to an extended position and any intermediate position. A coupled damper produces a holding force to counter gravity or other forces which cause the translation of the seat extension away from a desired position. The linkage extension system is self-powered and operates within the enclosed portion of the seat.

The invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a seat part and a backrest part, the seat part being configured shell-shaped on the lower face, at least one front end of the seat part being displaceable forwards and upwards in a combined manner and the inclination of the seat part being adjustable by means of an adjustment movement of the seat part with respect to a seat support shell arranged below the seat part.

SEAT SLIDE STRUCTURE

A seat slide structure includes a cushion frame, a slide rail including lower and upper rails, a movement mechanism, and a lock mechanism. The movement mechanism slides the cushion frame along a length direction of the slide rail. The lock mechanism includes a lock body engaging with the slide rail, and places or lifts a restriction on movement of the slide rail. The movement mechanism includes a lead screw, a gear part, and a shake absorber. The lead screw is provided in parallel with the slide rail, and is supported by the upper rail. The gear part transmits power from a power source to the lead screw to slide the lead screw and the upper rail along the lower rail. The shake absorber allows the cushion frame and the lead screw to move relative to one another in a moving direction of the upper rail along the lower rail.

Adjustable seating systems and associated structures

Structures of seating systems for human users are disclosed. In one embodiment, the structure comprises: a frame; a seat structure supported by the frame; and a back rest structure supported by the frame. The seat structure comprises a thigh support region and a pelvic support region where the pelvic support region defines a pelvic well for receiving an ischial tuberosity of the user and also provides a fulcrum to assist in rotating the pelvis of the user. The back rest structure comprises a gluteal panel for supporting a gluteal mass of the user and a posterior superior iliac spine (PSIS) panel disposed above the gluteal panel. The PSIS panel is adjustable to cause movement of a PSIS of the user and cooperate with the pelvic well to cause rotation of the pelvis of the user about the fulcrum provided by the pelvic well.

VEHICLE SEAT WITH OPERATING DEVICE

The invention relates to an operating device for adjusting seat parameters of a seat, in particular of a vehicle seat, wherein the operating device comprises at least one multifunction operating element having at least one selection element, by means of which at least two operating levels are selectable, wherein the multifunction operating element is movable in at least five switching directions, wherein each switching direction can be assigned to a specific function, which belongs to the selected operating level and changes a seat parameter.

Seat depth adjuster

A vehicle seat depth adjuster (1) includes a base plate (2) connectable to a seat structure (17); a detent unit (8); a carrier plate (3) moveably arranged above the base plate; a locking unit (4) detachably engaging the detent unit; and a drive unit (11) moving the carrier plate. The carrier plate is fixed in relation to the base plate in an engaged position of the locking unit and is moveable, between a retracted position and an extended position in a released position of the locking unit by the drive unit. The detent unit is arranged on the upper side (2.5) of the base plate, which faces the carrier plate, and includes receiving elements (8.1) staggered in the direction (L) of movement. The locking unit includes an unlocking lever (5) with at least one locking tooth (5.1) that engages in one of the detent receiving elements in the engaged position.
