Seat Trim Management System for Seat Cushion Length Adjustment
A seat trim cover management system for seat cushion length adjustment includes a seat cushion base having stationary portion and an adjustable portion wherein the stationary portion and the adjustable portion include a horizontal top surface and a vertical front surface. An adjustment mechanism is in mechanical communication with the stationary portion and the adjustable portion and is configured to manipulate the adjustable portion. A cover material includes a first end attached to the horizontal top surface of the stationary portion or the adjustable portion, and at least one seat cover management system is attached to a second end of the cover material and is configured to maintain tension between the first end and second end of the cover material while the cover material shrouds the gap created between the stationary portion and the adjustable portion when at the extended position.
VEHICLE SEAT
Provided is a vehicle seat capable of stably supporting buttocks of a seated occupant in an adaptive manner according to each right-to-left width of the seated occupant's body, which width is different from occupant to occupant, during a turn of a vehicle. The vehicle seat includes a seat cushion (2) having a seat surface (8) and configured to support buttocks of the seated occupant from below, and a right and left pair of side supports (9, 9) provided on right and left sides of the seat surface, which side supports bulge upward to be higher than the seat surface and allowed to laterally support the buttocks of the seated occupant from either side. Each of the right and left pair of side supports (9, 9) is movable individually in the right-to-left direction with respect to the seat surface. During a turn of the vehicle, one of the side supports on an outer side of the turn is moved inward so as to support the buttocks of the seated occupant from the outer side of the turn. When the turn of the vehicle is completed, the moved side support is returned to its original position.
VEHICLE SEAT
A seating posture is stabilized for the shoulders of a passenger seated on a vehicle seat. A vehicle seat is provided with a seat back configured to support the seated person from the rear. A shoulder support portion of the seat back configured to support a corresponding one of the shoulders of the seated passenger includes an air cell configured to expand when air is supplied. When the air cell expands, one end portion of the shoulder support portion on the outside in the width direction of the vehicle seat moves more forward than the other end portion of the shoulder support portion on the inside in the width direction.

In a vehicle seat, a movable frame provided at a front end portion of a stationary frame is configured to be slidable frontward and rearward between a first position and a second position frontward of the first position. An outer covering provided to extend frontward from an upper side of the stationary frame is configured to wrap around a front end portion of the movable frame. First and second straps are provided to extend rearward from a front end of the outer covering and configured to pull the front end of the outer covering rearward. The front end of the outer covering from which the first and second straps extend is arranged under the stationary frame. The first strap and the second strap are in positions spaced out laterally from each other. The first strap and the second strap are being pulled laterally inward.

In a vehicle seat, a cushion pad includes a center portion and left and right side portions disposed, respectively, at left and right sides of the center portion. The cushion pad has a first slit provided between the center portion and each of the left and right side portions. The outer covering includes a center cover disposed to cover the center portion, and left and right side covers disposed to cover the left and right side portions, respectively. The outer covering has a second slit provided between the center cover and each of the left and right side covers. Left and right movement restriction plates are fixed to the left and right side covers, respectively. A cushion frame includes left and right engageable portions disposed, respectively, adjacent to the left and right movement restriction plates in positions laterally outward of the movement restriction plates.

In a vehicle seat, a movable frame provided at a front end portion of a stationary frame is slidable frontward and rearward, and an outer covering is provided to extend frontward from an upper side of the stationary frame and configured to wrap around a front end portion of the movable frame. Engageable members are provided to extend along the left and right end portions of the outer covering. The movable frame has grooves extending from an upper surface, through a front surface and to an undersurface thereof. The engageable members are engageable in the grooves. Each groove includes a first groove section, and a second groove section extending from the first groove section in a direction different from a direction in which the first groove section extends. Each engageable member includes a body portion extending from the outer covering and a claw portion extending from the body portion.
