VEHICLE SEAT WITH AN ADJUSTABLE SEAT BASE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING AN ADJUSTABLE SEAT BASE
The present invention relates to a vehicle seat (1) having a seating surface (2), which has a front edge (16; 16.1, 16.2) and a rear edge (17), and a backrest (3) arranged at the rear edge (17) and situated at an angle to the seating surface (2). The seating surface (2) is divided into a main part (4) and at least one front part (5; 5.1, 5.2). The main part (4) and the at least one front part (5; 5.1, 5.2) can be moved relative to one another by means of an adjusting device to enable a distance between the front edge (16; 16.1, 16.2) and the rear edge (17) of the seating surface (2) to be adjusted dynamically. At least two inflatable chambers (6, 7; 6.1, 6.2, 7.1, 7.2) are arranged between the main part (4) and the at least one front part (5; 5.1, 5.2), which chambers can be inflated and emptied in accordance with the distance (D; D1, D2) of the front edge (16; 16.1, 16.2) from the rear edge (17).
Vehicle seat and utility motor vehicle comprising a vehicle seat
The invention relates to a vehicle seat, in particular a utility motor vehicle seat, having a seat part, having a backrest comprising a lower backrest part and an upper backrest part, and having a holding device, by means of which the upper backrest part is mounted displaceably with respect to the lower backrest part, the holding device comprising a guide roller device, by means of which the upper backrest part is arranged laterally displaceably with respect to the lower backrest part along a displacement curve so as to mount the upper backrest part displaceably at least in part past the side edge of the lower backrest part.
Side support for an aircraft seat
The present invention generally relates to passenger aircraft seats. Some examples provide systems for providing side support to seated passengers. Some examples include a passenger seat backrest having an extendable side support. An extendable side support may be integrated with a seat backrest and may be moved between a stowed position and a deployed position. When in a deployed position, the expandable side support may then provide additional side support to a seated passenger's body.
CONVERTIBLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
A convertible seat assembly is operable to transition between a collapsed position and an expanded position. The convertible seat assembly includes a fixed seat and a sliding seat. The sliding seat may be independently moveable with respect to the fixed seat. The convertible seat assembly may be coupled to a seat belt assembly, which includes a first seat belt operable to releasably couple to the fixed seat and a second seat belt operable to releasably couple to the sliding seat.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT AND SIDE WING HEIGHT AND WIDTH ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM THEREFOR
A child safety seat is disclosed. The child safety seat includes a first backrest, a second backrest, a headrest, and side wings. The first backrest and the second backrest are slidably connected to each other along a height direction of the child safety seat. The headrest is assembled on the second backrest and, together with the second backrest, forms an adjustor for performing a height adjustment with respect to the first backrest. The side wings are located on sides of the first backrest. The side wings are embedded in the adjustor such that movement of the side wings along a front-rear direction of the child safety seat is limited by the adjustor.
Adjustable width passenger seat
A passenger seat including laterally repositionable armrests wherein a seat bottom width adjusts automatically according to the lateral armrest position. Adjustment mechanisms positioned on the opposing lateral sides of the seat carry the armrests and are driven inward and outward to laterally reposition the armrests. In some embodiments, the adjustment mechanism includes levers drive by a connecting frame coupled to a motion driver such as a rack-and-pinion mechanism positioned in the seat bottom. In embodiments, the cushion utilizes stored internal energy from the cushion construction to expand when the armrests are repositioned laterally outward.
Trim seam reinforcement
Trim covers with reinforcing assemblies for providing straight seams and smooth/symmetrical trim surfaces along one or more seams. For example, the trim covers may employ one or more wires arranged along or proximate the one or more seams such that the seams are straight and not wavy. In one or more embodiments, the trim cover may also employ one or more elastic members to provide tension to the surface such that it does not wrinkle and/or sag.
