A multi-linkage hinge assembly is provided for pivoting a seat cushion between flat and upright positions. The hinge assembly includes a base bracket, a seat bracket having a support surface, a front linkage member pivotally attached between the seat bracket and base bracket, a rear linkage assembly having a lower linkage member pivotally attached to an upper linkage member, and a tie linkage connecting the front linkage member to the rear linkage assembly. The tie linkage synchronizes movement of the front linkage and rear linkage assembly when the hinge is operated to move between an upright and flat position.

A baby changing station is provided for a motor vehicle. That baby changing station includes a car seat having a seat bottom and a seat back. A cavity is provided in a rear face of the seat back. A cover is carried on the seat back. That cover is displaceable between a first position covering and concealing the cavity and a second position opening the cavity. The baby changing station also includes a storage net carried on a first face of the cover.

VEHICLE SEAT ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM

A seat assembly includes a seat frame having a first end connected to a vehicle and a second end cooperating with a latching system having a latching mechanism to releasably secure to at least one receiving portion. A seat structure adjustably positionable on the seat frame includes a seat bottom and a seat back pivotally connected to the seat structure. A seat adjustment system includes a first guide member proximate the latching mechanism having a first channel portion and a second guide member proximate the seat structure having a second channel portion configured to align with the first channel portion. A coupling element operatively connected to a first actuator includes an elongate projection that is translated from a locked position in the first channel portion to an unlocked position in the second channel portion to release the latching mechanism from the at least one receiving portion.

Frameless transit seat

A frameless transit seat is used for carrying passengers in a transit vehicle. The transit seat is comprised of at least two pedestals which connect the seating portion to the vehicle floor and which distribute the weight of the seat and its passenger(s). Under the passenger, at least two side supports are affixed on top of the pedestals, and one or more crossbars or stabilizers, without any rack frame structures connecting the pedestals. A variant of the transit seat has two seats and uses a mounting plate to connect the two inner side supports to a central pedestal. The components of the transit seat include hollow beams, bent sheet metal, and other components optimized to decrease mass while retaining maximum strength. Optionally, the seat may recline and be upholstered in a variety of covering options.
