REAR BACKREST LEVER WITH REMOTE CONTROL
20170246969 · 2017-08-31 ·

A modular backrest control includes a mounting bracket, a pivot bracket attached to the mounting bracket, a pivot rod rotatably mounted on the pivot bracket, a lever arm mounted on the pivot rod, and a user actuated lever handle rigidly mounted on the pivot rod. The lever arm is rotatable from a first position to a second position. The lever arm has a connector for attachment to a backrest actuation cable. The user actuated lever handle is rotatable between a lock position and a release position such that rotation of the lever handle from the lock position to the release position causes rotation of the lever arm from a first position to a second position. Characteristically, rotation from the first position to the second position actuates the backrest actuation cable.

VEHICLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
20170246968 · 2017-08-31 ·

A vehicle seat assembly includes a seat frame and a seat back pivotably attached to the seat frame. A spring cooperates with the seat back to oppose forward and rearward rotation of the seat back over at least a portion of the rotation range. An actuator is attached to and pivotable with the seat back, and it is configured to contact the spring at a first position during the forward rotation of the seat back and at a second position during the rearward rotation of the seat back.

Vehicle seat with a locking unit

A vehicle seat (1) includes a structural part (3) which has a lock connection plate (60) and a locking unit (10) which is fixed to the lock connection plate (60). The locking unit (10) has at least one bearing bolt (51) with a passage opening (55). The lock connection plate (60) also comprises at least one mating contour (62) which projects into the passage opening (55) in the at least one bearing bolt (51).

VEHICLE SEAT, IN PARTICULAR MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT

A vehicle seat (1), in particular a motor vehicle seat, includes a seat part (3), a backrest (5) and a four-bar-linkage arrangement (10), having a coupler (20), for the at least indirect coupling of the seat part (3) to a vehicle floor (S). The vehicle seat (1) is transferrable from a use position suitable for transporting an individual either into a first non-use position or into a second non-use position. The seat part (3) has a seat-part frame (30), which is pivotable relative to the coupler (20), and a locking device (52), which blocks a pivoting of the seat-part frame (30) relative to the coupler (20) in a first actuating state of the locking means (52). The locking device (52) permits a pivoting of the seat-part frame (30) relative to the coupler (20) in a second actuating state of the locking device (52).

RELEASE LEVER COUNTERWEIGHT
20170240070 · 2017-08-24 ·

A counterweighted release lever for a vehicle seat back release mechanism is described. The release lever includes a counterweight providing sufficient weight to move a center of mass of the release lever towards a release lever pivot point disposed adjacent to the counterweight. The counterweight may be integral to or attached to the release lever, or may be operatively connected to a release lever shaft. Vehicle seat back release mechanisms and vehicle seat assemblies including the counterweighted release lever as described above are described.

Head restraint for a vehicle seat

A head restraint for a vehicle seat, includes a central part having a front surface, an upper side and opposing side surfaces. First and second side parts are operably coupled to the opposing side surfaces of the central part and are operable between supporting and non-supporting positions relative to the central part. The first and second side parts each include first and second limbs which are flexibly coupled to one another, wherein portions of the first and second side parts protrude outwardly relative to the front surface of the central part when the first and second side parts are in the supporting position.
