SEAMLESS SEAT CUSHION EXTENSION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
An extendable seat base for a seat of a vehicle is disclosed. The seat base includes an outer cushion, a cord, and a motor. The outer cushion forms a top of the seat base and extends, in one unitarily formed piece, down a front of the seat base and back underneath or within the seat base, such that excess material of the outer cushion is positioned underneath or within the seat base. The cord is connected to an end of the outer cushion at the excess material. The motor is adapted to pull the excess material underneath or within the seat base while the seat base is in a retracted position and to release the excess material while the seat base is in an extended position. At least a portion of the excess material is used to form part of an extended seat for a vehicle occupant while the seat base is in the extended position.
Seat pan for a passenger seat and passenger seat
A seat pan for a passenger seat and a passenger seat. The seat pan is corrugated for partially absorbing a downward loading applied to the seat pan through deformation of a corrugation pattern of the seat pan as a result of a counter force applied by a support structure of the passenger seat.
Convertible seating unit
A convertible seating unit (10, 12, 14, 50a, 50b, 54a, 58a, 58b, 62a, 62b) has at least one convertible seat (20, 56b, 60b, 64b, 80) with a back (30,86) and a bottom (32, 84). The back (30,86) and bottom (32, 84) may be positioned relative to each other in a first configuration to form a passenger seat. The back (30,86) and the bottom (32, 84) may also be positioned relative to each other in a second configuration to expose a space (48,88) accessible from behind and below the convertible seat (20, 56b, 60b, 64b, 80).
Passenger seating headrest with spring adjustment assembly
The present disclosure relates to headrest assemblies for passenger vehicles. More specifically, the present disclosure describes a headrest assembly that provides adjustment between a raised position and a lowered position by way of a pair of compression springs or an over-centering linkage. Also provided herein is a method for using the same.
Seat for transport vehicle and associated transport vehicle
A seat including a backrest defining a first surface and a second surface, the second surface including an opening, the backrest including a table movable between a folded position in which the table closes off the opening, and a deployed position in which the opening is clear, the backrest including a locking device operable between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration, the locking device being configured, in the locked configuration, to keep the table in its folded position, and, in the unlocked configuration, to allow a movement of the table toward its deployed position, wherein the locking device includes a lock that can be actuated in order to operate the locking device between the locked configuration and the unlocked configuration.
Seat moveable between a seat configuration and a bed configuration
A seat 100 moveable between a seat configuration and a bed configuration, the seat 100 comprising a squab 120 including upper and lower cushions 126, 124, a conversion mechanism configured to move the squab 120, for converting the seat 100 between the seat and bed configurations, and a backrest 122 connected to the squab 120 or conversion mechanism, for moving with the squab 120, the squab 120 being laterally displaceable by the conversion mechanism between a first position in the seat configuration and a second position in the bed configuration, and the backrest 122 being configured to occupy a space at an end of the squab 120 which is made available by lateral displacement of the squab 120 into the second position, and the upper cushion 126 of the squab 120 being movable relative to the lower cushion 124 for covering the backrest 122 in the bed configuration.
Transit bench seat
A transit bench seat has a seat with a seat frame. The seat frame is connected to a folding frame that folds between an upright stowed position and a horizontal deployed position. A seat frame cover covers the left or right end of the seat frame. A plurality of rib sections are formed as frame ribs and can be segmented between a vertical fixed portion and a horizontal folding portion. The frame ribs include a first frame rib, a second frame rib, and third frame rib. The frame ribs are formed with a seat nose. The seat nose is supported at a seat nose frame bracket for stability of the frame rib and seat nose. A rear cross bar is placed below a top crossbar. The rear crossbar and the top crossbar are connected to the frame ribs.
Mobile frame for seats and relative sliding seats system
A mobile frame for at least one seat of a means of transportation is disclosed. The mobile frame includes: a load-bearing structure suitable for supporting the seat, and an anchoring element coupled with the load-bearing structure to selectively constrain the mobile frame to the support surface of the transportation means. The anchoring element has a fixing mechanism that can be moved from a non-anchored configuration, wherein at least one fixing element is retracted inside the load-bearing structure to an anchored configuration, wherein the fixing element protrudes beyond the load-bearing structure in order to constrain the mobile frame to the support surface.
Vehicle passenger sensing and reporting system
An example embodiment of a system and methods for detecting and reporting whether passengers are seated and secured in their seats within a vehicle may include a passenger sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a presence of a passenger in a seat in a vehicle, a restraint sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a status of a passenger safety restraint associated with the seat, a transmitter configured to be in electronic communication with the passenger sensor and the restraint sensor and to wirelessly transmit data indicative of the presence of a passenger in the seat and the status of the restrain, and a reporting module configured to be disposed proximate a driver of the vehicle. The reporting module may be configured to receive the data from the transmitter, and output a respective status for each of a plurality of seats.
Monitoring system for buses
A monitoring system for buses includes presence sensors and belt sensors connected to slaves connected to a connection cable to transport the signals from the slaves in such a way to form a field bus. The connection cable is connected to a master that receives the signals from the slaves. The master is connected to a human-machine interface (HMI) by a network cable.
