VEHICLE INGRESS-EGRESS SUPPORT
Aspects of the present disclosure include a vehicle having a passenger assistance system for facilitating ingress and egress of passengers. The vehicle may include a plurality of wheels. The vehicle may include a body including at least one doorway supported on the plurality of wheels via a suspension. The vehicle may include a door movable between an open position and a closed position covering the at least one doorway. The vehicle may include a first platform movable between a horizontal position beneath a bottom of the doorway and a stowed position parallel to the door. The vehicle may include an occupant compartment within the body. The occupant compartment may include a seat rotatable to face the doorway in an ingress or egress mode. The occupant compartment may include a robotic arm configured to extend along an ingress or egress path through the doorway.
Vehicle
A vehicle includes an acquisition unit and a position determination unit. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire at least one of conditions including an order of getting out of the vehicle, a possibility of manual driving, and a combination of positions of sub-mobility devices in a vehicle compartment, and the position determination unit configured to determine the positions of the sub-mobility devices in the vehicle compartment, on a basis of a combination of the conditions.
MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF AUXILIARY MEMBER AND VEHICLE SEAT WITH AUXILIARY MEMBER
An auxiliary member attachment structure for a vehicle seat. The auxiliary member attachment structure includes an auxiliary member at an outer side of the vehicle seat. The vehicle seat has a seat cushion that is capable of transitioning from a seating position to a storage position aligned with a seat back. The auxiliary member being rotatable, about a shaft in the vehicle seat extending along the seat width direction, between a reference position at which the auxiliary member is upright and a holding position at which the auxiliary member is rotated closer to a front side of a vehicle. The auxiliary member attachment structure further includes a rotation restriction unit configured to restrict rotation of the auxiliary member at the reference position when the seat cushion is at the seating position, and cease the restriction of rotation of the auxiliary member when the seat cushion is at the storage position.
VEHICLE ACCESS SYSTEM
The embodiments described and claimed herein are improved vehicle access systems. In particular, one embodiment includes three compact, motorized mechanisms for pivoting a passenger seat toward a door opening, extending the passenger seat outside the door opening, lowering the passenger seat, and tilting the passenger seat to help the passenger stand. The first mechanism concurrently pivots the passenger seat and moves it sideways during the pivoting operation so that it is aligned with the door opening. The second mechanism extends the passenger seat outside the door opening. The third mechanism lowers the seat.
Vehicle, such as a car, camper or van, and carrier with drive means
A vehicle, such as a car, camper or van including a seat, is mounted in the vehicle, with a seat surface; and a carrier arranged close to the seat and mounted in the vehicle, and provided with a drive for adjusting the carrier between a first position, in which an edge of the carrier runs parallel to the main direction of travel of the vehicle and lies in line with and adjoins the seat surface of the seat, and a second position in which, relative to the first position, this edge of the carrier is arranged at a distance from the seat surface in a direction transversely of the seat surface. The invention further relates to a carrier with a drive.
SEAT BASE ASSEMBLY OF A VEHICLE
A modified OEM vehicle having an interior for accommodating a passenger in a wheelchair including a floor base assembly, a seat, and a seat base assembly operatively connected to the seat. The seat base assembly includes a lower seat base assembly configured to be coupled to the floor base assembly, an upper seat base assembly pivotably coupled to the lower seat base assembly, and an actuator coupled to the lower seat base assembly and to the upper seat assembly. The actuator includes a retracted position in which the seat is located in a seated position and an extended position in which the seat is located in a tilted position, wherein the tilted position of the seat provides additional space for the wheelchair within the interior of the vehicle.

MOBILITY CARRIER PROVIDED WITH VEHICLE SEAT AND VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH MOBILITY CARRIER
A mobility carrier provided with a vehicle seat and a vehicle provided with the mobility carrier. The mobility carrier includes a carrier body, a seat, an operating portion configured of allowing a user accommodated on the seat to control the mobility carrier or the vehicle, and a carrier controller. The carrier controller communicates with a vehicle controller of the vehicle from outside of the vehicle. If verified through communications with the vehicle controller, the carrier controller controls the carrier wheels so that the carrier body enters a cabin of the vehicle. The carrier controller communicates with the vehicle controller to control a driving unit of the vehicle via the operating portion.
Seat base assembly of a vehicle
A modified OEM vehicle having an interior for accommodating a passenger in a wheelchair including a floor base assembly, a seat, and a seat base assembly operatively connected to the seat. The the actuator includes a retracted position in which the seat is located in a seated position and an extended position in which the seat is located in a tilted position, wherein the tilted position of the seat provides additional space for the wheelchair within the interior of the vehicle.
TRUNK CONTROL SYSTEMS AND WHEELCHAIRS COMPRISING SAME
A trunk control system having a harness assembly and a flexion control assembly. The harness assembly has a backrest member and a harness secured to the backrest member. The backrest member is configured to be moveably coupled to a wheelchair. The backrest member is selectively moveable about and between a fully retracted position and a fully extended position. The harness cooperates with the backrest member to define a receiving space for receiving at least a portion of a torso of a wheelchair user. The flexion control assembly is coupled to the backrest member of the harness assembly. The flexion control assembly is configured to selectively permit or restrict movement of the backrest member about and between the fully retracted position and the fully extended position.
