The child safety seat further comprises an electrical pivoting structure including a base pivoting member for electrically connecting to a base electrical device in the base, and a body pivoting member for electrically connecting to a body electrical device in the body. The base pivoting member is coupled to the base and has a base conductive part. The body pivoting member is coupled to the body and has a body conductive part. The base conductive part and the body conductive part are rotatably and electrically connected in the rotating shaft. The base electrical device and the body electrical device are electrically connected to each other via electrical connection of the base conductive part and the body conductive part.
Systems and methods for alerting a driver to check back seat occupancy in a vehicle
The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for detecting an occupancy of a back seat in a vehicle before a driver exits the vehicle. In one example method, a backseat occupancy alert system detects an activity that precedes the driver exiting the vehicle. For example, the system may detect that the driver has performed, or is performing, actions such as turning off the engine of the vehicle, placing the vehicle in a parked condition, and/or opening a door of the vehicle. The detection may be carried out, for example, by evaluating an image captured by one or more cameras in the vehicle. The system may then detect a failure by the driver to look towards a back seat of the vehicle, where, for example, a child may be seated in a car seat. The system may then produce an alert to prompt the driver to check the back seat.

INSERT FOR A CHILD SAFETY SEAT
An insert for repositioning at least one of the harness straps of a child safety seat in order to accommodate an occupant smaller than the harness is configured to accommodate, wherein the insert is adapted to locate between the child safety seat and the occupant and includes a pair of waist strap guides, each waist strap guide configured to allow a waist strap of the harness to extend through and exit the waist strap guide at a position narrower than where the waist strap exits the child safety seat.
Unattended Occupant Alarm Assembly
An unattended occupant alarm assembly for inhibiting an occupant from being left unattended in a vehicle includes a triggering unit that is positioned on a car seat. In this way the triggering unit can be engaged by an occupant when the occupant sits in the car seat. A display unit is positioned within the vehicle such that the display unit is visible to the driver. The display unit displays alert indicia comprising the words “baby safe” when the display unit is turned on. The display unit is in communication with the trigger unit and the display unit is turned on when the triggering unit is engaged by the occupant. In this way the display unit inhibits the driver from leaving the occupant unattended.
