A vehicle having a system which includes at least one sensor contained therein. The systems utilizes conditional probability to determine if an occupant (i.e. child and/or animal) is in the vehicle in the absence of an adult. The system used conditional probability to predict the likelihood that a child and/or animal was left unsupervised within the vehicle. The system collects data from existing vehicle sensors (door sensor, weight sensor, seatbelt sensor, face detection sensor, input sensors or any other suitable sensor already imbedded within the hardware of the vehicle) and uses that data to assume if an adult, child and/or animal is present. A motion sensor and a temperature sensor (infrared camera) are further utilized to determine the presence of a child/animal and the temperature of a child. Input from the motion sensor and/or temperature sensor (infrared camera) are utilized to provide warnings or to take corrective measures.

The infant vehicle seat may include a first actuator for each leg coupled with the base and the respective upper segment and configured to pivot the leg with respect to the base. The infant vehicle seat may include a second actuator for each leg coupled with the upper segment and the lower segment and configured to bend and extend the leg. The infant vehicle seat may include a control system configured to translate an input command into a series of control signals for each of the first actuators and second actuators.

The child transport device comprises a main body, which comprises a safety harness adapted to attach the child to the main body. In the vehicle configuration, a front portion of the main body is adapted to be supported by a first support element, and a rear portion of the main body is adapted to be supported by a second support element, the main body being adapted to be tensioned, such that it when tensioned bridges a distance between the first and second support elements. The disclosure further relates to a method of attaching the child transport device to a vehicle.
