The distal end of the seat back portion of the bracket is connected to the seat back so as to pivot the seat back with respect to the seat bottom. The seat back is configured to rotate on top of the seat bottom to a stowed position.
Latching device
A latching device for automotive applications, in particular a backrest latch for the bolting and unbolting of seat backrests in motor vehicles, with a locking mechanism fundamentally comprising a catch and at least one pawl, and with a manually and/or mechanically impingeable unbolting element for the locking mechanism, wherein the unbolting element is a component of an exchangeable unbolting module which defines a latch casing together with a basic module incorporating the locking mechanism is proposed. A latching device where only the unbolting module is adapted to the specific purpose of use is provided, considerably reducing manufacturing, installation and warehousing costs.
REAR-SEAT ASSEMBLY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A rear-seat assembly, comprising a backrest, a transverse pin for articulation of the backrest, and a pair of brackets fixed by welding to respective rear wheelhouses. Each bracket comprises a fixing plate and a central bracket body, which are constituted by two separate components of sheet metal having different thicknesses and fixed together by welding. The fixing plate has front and rear surfaces contacting an inner surface portion of the wheelhouse, and the central bracket body is substantially C-shaped with a central wall and two side walls, which are bent with respect to the central wall and have respective front edges welded to the fixing plate front surface. The central wall has an opening for insertion and blocking of one end of the transverse pin having an internal edge that is not bent, with a thickness equal to the thickness of the central bracket body.
SEATBACK PANEL
A seatback panel forms a seatback which is configured to be selectable between a rising-up position and a falling-down position. The seatback panel is made of a metal-made plate material, and embossed portions and bead portions surrounding the embossed portions are formed in areas at its flat face. The bead portions are provided to protrude on one side of the panel and the embossed portions are provided to protrude on the other side of the panel. A protrusion height of the bead portion is configured to be different from a protrusion height of the embossed portion. Either one of the bead portion and the embossed-portion which has a smaller projection height is configured to protrude on a back-face side of the panel having the rising-up position.
VEHICLE LOAD FLOOR ACCESS PANEL SYSTEM
A vehicle including a storage compartment associated with the load floor, a stowable seat having a seat structure and configured to move between a deployed position and a stowed position where the stowable seat is stowed within the storage compartment, and a load floor access panel assembly. The load floor access panel assembly is movable between an open position providing access to the storage compartment, and a closed position where the load floor access panel assembly is in a substantially flat load floor configuration covering the storage compartment. The rearward panel includes a channel formed therein configured to receive the seat structure, and a seat structure access panel pivotally coupled to the rearward panel and configured to move between a load floor position where the seat structure access panel covers the channel, and an access position where the seat structure access panel is pivoted away from the channel.
Convertible seating unit
A convertible seating unit (10, 12, 14, 50a, 50b, 54a, 58a, 58b, 62a, 62b) has at least one convertible seat (20, 56b, 60b, 64b, 80) with a back (30,86) and a bottom (32, 84). The back (30,86) and bottom (32, 84) may be positioned relative to each other in a first configuration to form a passenger seat. The back (30,86) and the bottom (32, 84) may also be positioned relative to each other in a second configuration to expose a space (48,88) accessible from behind and below the convertible seat (20, 56b, 60b, 64b, 80).
Adjustable seat
An adjustable seat has a seat base having a front end and a rear end, a front leg assembly having a top end engaged with the rear end of the seat base and a bottom end opposite the top end for engaging a supporting surface, and a back leg assembly having a top end engaged with the front end of the seat base and a bottom end opposite the top end for engaging the supporting surface. The back leg assembly is pivotally connected to the front leg assembly between the top end and the bottom end of the front leg assembly and the back leg assembly. The adjustable seat has an adjustment assembly for selectively locking the front leg assembly relative to the back leg assembly at one of a plurality of lockable positions between a first position and a second position.
