An interlock mechanism prevents erroneous operation of a vehicle rear seat. The vehicle seat has a seat back rotatably coupled to a seat cushion. The interlock mechanism includes a handle pivot link, a latch pivot link, and an interlock bracket rotatably coupled to a pivot pin. When the seat back is in an upright position, the interlock bracket releasably couples the handle pivot link to the latch pivot link such that rotation of the handle pivot link rotates the latch pivot link causing the cushion latches to be released. When the seat back is folded towards the seat cushion, the interlock bracket is moved to an interlock position decoupling the handle pivot link and the latch pivot link such that rotating the handle pivot link does not rotate the latch pivot link and does not release the cushion latches.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat, comprising: a lower frame, intended to be connected to the floor of a vehicle, having: a base, intended to be connected to the floor of the vehicle, and a seating portion frame, comprising at least two seating places to accommodate at least two users, a first backrest pivotally hinged to the base, a second backrest pivotally hinged to the base, wherein the seat further comprises a connection system connecting the first backrest to the seating portion frame, configured so that the pivoting of the first backrest relative to the base causes the simultaneous movement of the seating portion frame relative to the base in the longitudinal direction and the vertical direction of the seat, in the two pivoting directions of the first backrest relative to the base.

Stow To Floor Seat Assembly

A seat assembly includes a five-bar linkage for moving the seat assembly between a plurality of positions in an automotive vehicle. A first link is rotatably coupled to a seat back at a second pivot point disposed coaxial to a first pivot point, and to a seat base defining a fifth link at a third pivot point. A second link extends axially between the first and second pivot points. A third link is defined by a lower seat back portion and a seat cushion and extends between the first pivot point and a fifth pivot point disposed adjacent a front portion of the seat cushion. A fourth link is rotatably coupled to the third link at the fifth pivot point and the seat base at a fourth pivot point. The seat assembly is capable of moving to both a pitched easy entry position and a stow flat to floor position.

A vehicle seat includes a back frame connected to a base member so as to be able to rotate around a first rotation shaft; a rotation locking mechanism; a cushion frame connected to the back frame so as to be able to rotate around a second rotation shaft, and in which a long hole is formed; a link member connected to the base member so as to be able to rotate around a third rotation shaft; a fourth rotation shaft fixed to the link member and inserted in the long hole so as to be able to move relatively and so as to be able to rotate; and movement restricting portion provided between the fourth rotation shaft and an inner surface of the long hole, and that restricts movement of the fourth rotation shaft from one end portion of the long hole toward another end portion side.

Internal full memory seat track with interlock

A seat assembly secured to a floor in an automotive vehicle has a seat cushion, a seat back, a seat track assembly, a latch mechanism, a memory mechanism, and an interlock assembly. The seat back is operatively coupled to the seat cushion, and is movable between an upright position and a folded position. The seat track assembly includes a fixed track adapted to be fixedly secured to the floor and a movable track fixedly secured to the seat cushion. The movable track is slidably coupled to the fixed track. The latch mechanism is operatively coupled between the fixed and movable tracks. The latch mechanism prevents sliding movement of the movable track, and is (17) selectively unlocked from the fixed track to allow sliding movement of the seat cushion between a plurality of positions. The memory mechanism is operable between a home position and a memory position. In the home position, the memory mechanism is coupled and moves with the movable track. In the memory position, the memory mechanism is coupled with the fixed track and defines a previously selected one of the plurality of positions. The interlock assembly comprises a hook lever, an interlock lever, and a cable. The hook lever is pivotally connected to the seat cushion. The interlock lever is pivotally coupled to the movable track for movement between a disengaged position and an engaged position. The cable is operatively coupled between the hook lever and the interlock lever, and is configured for moving the hook lever into and out of engagement with the seat back. Moving the seat back to the folded position actuates the memory mechanism to the memory position, which unlocks the latch mechanism from the fixed track to allow sliding movement of the seat cushion in a first direction away from the previously selected one of the plurality of positions to the easy-entry position. Actuation of the memory mechanism to the memory position also allows the interlock lever to rotate into the engaged position to cause the cable to move the hook lever into engagement with the seat back to maintain the seat back in the folded position.

An occupant support includes a vehicle seat mounted to a foundation frame for sliding the vehicle seat longitudinally in a vehicle. The vehicle seat is movable from a slid-back configuration to a forward-seating configuration and may be changed from a horizontal-use configuration to a tilted configuration for easy entry into or exit from a rear row of the vehicle. The vehicle seat may be locked in the tilted configuration.

Lateral vibration isolator mechanism for vehicle seat back

A vehicle seat includes a first seat component such as a seat pan or seat frame, and a second seat component such as a seat back. The first seat component is rotatably coupled to the second seat component by a rotatable coupling, and a laterally oriented vibration isolator is positioned between the first seat component and the second seat component at the rotatable coupling. Transmission of vibration from the first seat component to the second seat component through the rotatable coupling is suppressed by the vibration isolator. In some cases, the vibration isolator is a quazi-zero-stiffness (QZS) isolator.
