Passenger identification apparatus for vehicles
A passenger identification apparatus for vehicles is provided to identify a passenger through integration of a sensor that senses change in permittivity and a sensor that senses change in pressure. The apparatus includes a permittivity change sensing unit that is installed in the seat and senses change in capacitance generated by permittivity of the passenger seated on the seat and a pressure change sensing unit that is installed in the seat and senses change in pressure generated by a load of the passenger seated on the seat. A controller adjusts power supplied to the permittivity change sensing unit and the pressure change sensing unit and determines whether the passenger is seated on the seat and the type of passenger using permittivity and pressure change values sensed by the permittivity change sensing unit and the pressure change sensing unit.

Vehicle seat, and headrest support device for vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes a seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a suspension mat disposed within the seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a linking member that elastically supports the suspension mat at the seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a bushing that is disposed at an upper portion of the seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a hollow stay inserted into the bushing, the stay protruding upward from the upper portion of the seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a headrest fixed at an upper end of the stay. An upper end of the linking member is inserted into the stay from a lower end of the stay that is inserted into the bushing.
Rear vehicle body structure
An embodiment rear vehicle body structure of a vehicle including an underbody and an upper body coupled to the underbody includes a reinforcing member coupled to an upper surface of a rear floor panel provided on the rear side of the upper body and connected to both chassis frames of the underbody through the rear floor panel.
Deformable seat bracket
A system for securing a seat within a vehicle may include a seat bracket with a first portion configured to be attached to a structural frame of a vehicle by a first fastener passing there through, a second portion configured to be attached to a seat installed in the vehicle by a second fastener passing there through, and a third portion attaching the first portion to the second portion. The third portion may include a U-shaped bend, and the first portion may be configured to receive the second fastener there through. The second portion may include a hole for the second fastener to pass through, and the first portion may include a hole for the second fastener to pass through. The first portion may define a fracture propagation region disposed proximate the hole for the second fastener.
Vehicle-mounted seat device
A vehicle-mounted seat device includes an SB main frame, a backrest, an SB subframe, and one or more front-back position regulation mechanisms for regulating the position of the SB subframe in the front-back direction relative to the SB main frame. Each front-back position regulation mechanism includes a front restraining bracket secured relative to the SB main frame, a rear restraining bracket secured on the SB subframe, and a front-back wire strung between the front and rear restraining brackets. The rear restraining bracket is deformed such that its front end portion is displaced rearward relative to its end portion upon input of a load greater than a predetermined load. A maximum pulling load of the front-back wire is greater than a load that causes initial deformation of the rear restraining bracket.
VEHICLE SEAT
The object of the invention is to provide a vehicle seat which can improve degree of freedom in the design of the vehicle seat. A vehicle seat with a seat cushion and a seat back includes: right and left side frames 20 constituting right and left frames of the seat back; a pressure-receiving member 40 disposed between the right and left side frames 20 and configured to receive a load from an occupant; and a driving mechanism 50 disposed at each of right and left sides of the pressure-receiving member 40 and configured to cause a right end portion or a left end portion of the pressure-receiving member 40 to move from an initial position to an advanced position that is located frontward of the initial position or to move from the advanced position to the initial position, wherein the driving mechanism 50 includes a linkage (drive link member 100 and contact link member 200) configured to be connected to the pressure-receiving member 40 and a driving source 52 configured to actuate the linkage, and wherein the linkage is configured to operate when a load equal to or greater than a predetermined amount is input from the occupant to the pressure-receiving member 40 to cause the pressure-receiving member 40 to move to a backward position that is located rearward of the initial position.
Vehicle seat backrest having a weakened area that is able to tear
The vehicle seat back according to the invention includes a textile assembly (30) having at least one embrittled linear zone (32, 32A, 32B) able to tear during an impact of the head of a passenger located on the seat behind the seat back considered, so as to enable rocking of this passenger's head to be continued and, at the same time, to be slowed down. Application to aircraft seats.
Composite one-piece cushion nose
A motor vehicle seating assembly for a motor vehicle has a lower seat assembly and an upwardly extending seat back assembly is disclosed, where the lower seat assembly comprises a lower seat frame base having a pair of longitudinally extending mounting rails, a pair of side frame members operably connected with the mounting rails, and a transverse cross tube operatively connected with and extending between a forward portion of the pair of side frame members. A lower seat cushion and suspension module is attached to the lower seat frame base. The lower seat cushion and suspension module further comprises a one-piece composite pan having a forward edge, a suspension system mounted to and supported by the one-piece composite pan, and a one-piece composite nose having a rearward edge pivotally attached proximate the forward edge of the composite pan and a forward facing engagement member pivotally and operably connected with the transverse cross tube.
MULTI-CHANNEL SEAT MOUNTING WIRE RETENTION BRACKET
