Adjustable seat suspension assembly
A seat suspension includes a frame fixedly securable to a structure. A suspension assembly is operably connected to the frame. A seat support is adapted to receive a seat, and the seat support is operably connected to the suspension assembly. The suspension assembly includes a first elongate suspension bar slidably disposed on a pivot surface. The first suspension bar has a first end slidingly secured to the seat support and a second opposed end secured to a shock compensating device. The suspension bar is translatable relative to the pivot surface, wherein moving the suspension bar changes the shock compensation of the suspension assembly.
Gyro seat and vehicle including the same
A gyro seat includes: a seat body comprising a seat cushion and a seat back coupled to the seat cushion; and a seat gyroscope mounted to the seat body, the seat gyroscope compensating a movement of the seat body by control of first, second and third axes, where the first axis corresponds to a yaw of the seat body as a z axis of an xyz coordinate system, the second axis corresponds to a pitch of the seat body as an x axis of the xyz coordinate system, and the third axis corresponds to a roll of the seat body as a y axis of the xyz coordinate system.
Adjustable firmness seat suspension and seat incorporating the same
An adjustable firmness seat suspension includes a seat frame, first and second spring members, and an intermediate tensioning member. The seat frame includes a first frame member and a second frame member spaced apart from and opposite one another. The first spring member is attached to the first frame member, the second spring member is attached to the second frame member, and the intermediate tensioning member is attached to and extends between the first spring member and the second spring member. The intermediate tensioning member is formed from a shape memory alloy (SMA) having a first length that provides a first spring tension of the seat suspension through the first and second spring members, and configured to alter its length to a second length that provides a second spring tension of the seat suspension through the first and second spring members in response to application of a tensioning signal thereto.

Adjustable seat
This invention is a seat with an adjustable back and/or an adjustable base. The adjustable back and/or base can be adjusted in response to rough terrain or water encountered by a vehicle in which the seat is located.
Kinetic seat cushions for vehicles
A kinetic seat cushion assembly that rotates based on a force applied on an occupant seated therein is provided. The kinetic seat cushion assembly includes a primary seat cushion frame, a secondary seat cushion frame, a seat cushion tilt mechanism coupling the secondary seat cushion frame to the primary seat cushion frame such that the secondary seat cushion frame is movable with respect to the primary seat cushion frame, and a front pivot mechanism that pivotally couples a front portion of the primary seat cushion frame to a front portion of the secondary seat cushion frame.
Motion sickness mitigation
An occupant support adapted for use in a vehicle includes a seat frame and a seat pad. The seat frame is adapted to couple with the vehicle for movement with the vehicle. The seat pad is adapted to provide a comfortable support interface for an occupant of the occupant support.

VEHICLE SEAT MOUNTING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A vehicle seat mounting device for reducing a risk of sustaining a spinal or back injury includes a first mounting element, which in turn comprises a pair of side members. Each side member, which comprises at least one compressible element, is attachable to a chassis so that the pair of side members defines a seating area. A crossmember is attached to and extends between the side members and across the seating area. The crossmember is attachable to a seat portion of a vehicle seat so that the vehicle seat is mounted to the chassis. The compressible elements at least partially absorb a force applied to a bottom of the chassis and substantially parallel to the side members.
