Suspension seat back and cushion system having an inner suspension panel
A vehicle seating assembly includes a frame and an inner suspension panel coupled to the frame. A plurality of suspension members attach the frame to the inner suspension panel. Each suspension member has a tab that is biased away from the inner suspension panel and is operable between extended and compressed positions. A cushion is coupled to at least one of the tabs. The cushion includes a plurality of comfort positions defined by the position of each of the tabs.
Seat suspension utilizing nonlinear stiffness design
A suspension system with vibration isolation is described. The system can incorporate a kinematic structure comprising pairs of X-shaped supporting structures connected in parallel. The kinematic structure limits motion in the vertical direction to a single degree of freedom. Tensioning/damping of the kinematic structure orthogonally to the vertical motion limits horizontal motion of the kinematic structure with a corresponding constraint of motion of in the vertical direction. The tensioning/damping imparts passive nonlinear stiffness and nonlinear damping of the vibrational energies across the suspension system. A tuning mechanism can be incorporated enabling tension/damping adjustment to accommodate different heights and payloads. The system can provide vibration isolation at low frequencies and over a wide range of operational frequencies. The suspension system has tunable ultra-low resonant frequencies with anti-resonance characteristics. In an example application, the suspension system can be incorporated into a seat for applications experiencing whole body vibrations.
SUSPENSION RECLINE SYSTEM
A suspension recline system for a stowable seat may comprise a suspension member comprising a first end configured to be coupled to a seat back of the stowable seat, and a second end configured to be coupled to a legrest for the stowable seat, wherein the suspension recline system is moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The stowable seat may recline in response to the suspension recline system being moved to the deployed position. An end of the suspension member may be configured to be inserted into a slot disposed in the legrest, in the deployed position.
ACTIVE SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE SEATS
The invention relates to an active vehicle seat suspension system with a lower part and an upper part of a vehicle seat and a scissor frame arranged therebetween with at least one first and at least one second scissor arm articulatedly connected thereto, wherein at least the first scissor arm is articulatedly connected with a first end to the upper part and is articulatedly connected with a second end to the lower part and is displaceable thereon, wherein at least one traction means which can move the second end of the first scissor arm forwards or backwards, as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle seat, is firmly connected to at least one rolling axle which is arranged at the second end.
DAMPING SYSTEM COMPRISING A FLUID DAMPER AND A FLUID RESERVOIR
A damping system is provided including at least one fluid damper including a damping volume containing a damping fluid, and a fluid reservoir including a reservoir piston partitioning an inner volume of the fluid reservoir into a damping chamber containing the damping fluid and a recoil chamber containing a recoil fluid. The damping volume of the at least one fluid damper is connected to the damping chamber of the fluid reservoir in a fluid-conducting manner. The reservoir piston is movable in a compression direction increasing a volume of the damping chamber and decreasing a volume of the recoil chamber. The reservoir piston is movable in a dilatation direction decreasing the volume of the damping chamber and increasing the volume of the recoil chamber. The reservoir piston includes a damping chamber surface facing the damping chamber and a recoil chamber surface facing the recoil chamber.
Impulse compensating seat suspension
A seat suspension including a base frame having a back portion and a bottom portion fixedly securable to a support surface. A carriage assembly is movably connected to the base frame. The carriage assembly includes a transverse member slidably connected to the base frame and a vertical guide member extending upwardly from the transverse guide member and movably connected to the base frame. The carriage assembly includes a suspension support having a first end pivotally secured to the transverse member. A shock compensating mechanism including an adjustment member is slidably disposed on a pivot surface secured to the transverse guide member. Movement of the adjustment member changes shock compensation properties of the shock compensating mechanism. A height adjustment mechanism disposed on the frame includes an actuator wherein operation of the actuator selectively moves the seat frame, the carriage assembly, and the shock compensating mechanism relative to the base frame.
Shock Absorbing Structure of an All Terrain Vehicle Seat
The present shock absorbing structure of an ATV seat for an ATV with a vehicle frame and a seat frame, comprising an elastic support member provided between the seat frame and the vehicle frame, the elastic support member supporting the seat frame and allowing the seat frame to move downward and compress the elastic support member when subjected to an external force. The shock absorbing structure further comprises at least one shock absorber block provided between the seat frame and the vehicle frame, the at least one shock absorber block being either attached to the seat frame and having a gap in an up-and-down direction from the 10 vehicle frame, or attached to the vehicle frame and having a gap in the up-and-down direction from the seat frame. The present shock absorbing structure of an ATV seat provides overall enhanced comfort.
