A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion and a seat back. The seat cushion includes a storage member configured to store fine particles, shaped into a bag, and made of a flexible and gas-impermeable material, and a gas supply/suction member. The gas supply/suction member fluidizes the fine particles stored in the storage member by supplying the gas to the storage member to make it easy to change a shape of the storage member. The gas supply/suction member solidifies the fine particles stored in the storage member by sucking the gas from the storage member to make it hard to change the shape of the storage member. The storage member includes a rigid inclined member disposed on at least one end of a periphery of the storage member and configured to be inclined downward from an outer periphery of the seat cushion toward a center of the seat cushion.

DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING A SEAT POSITION

Pneumatic seat support

A pneumatic seat support by itself supports a seat above a floor of a vehicle. The pneumatic seat support has upper and lower air chambers. The lower air chamber is a rigid cylindrical tube. The upper air chamber is a flexible cylindrical bellows, with a diameter greater than the diameter of the tube. Three or more linear shafts extending through the upper air chamber and into the lower air chamber provide a single-degree-of-freedom bearing support structure that allows vertical motion of the seat but withstands horizontal loads on the seat. When the seat moves vertically downward, it compresses air in both chambers, providing a seat support system with a natural oscillation frequency which is less than 2.4 Hz, and preferably in the range of 1.5-2.2 Hz.

VIBRATION DAMPING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
20210107385 · 2021-04-15 ·

A vibration damping system configured to improve ride quality as well as controllability and stability of a vehicle. The vibration damping system is applied to a vehicle comprising a vehicle body suspension, and a seat suspension including a spring and a damper. The vibration damping system is configured to: estimate acceleration of a sprung seat mass and a resonance frequency when vibrations propagates to the sprung seat mass; calculate a target value of the acceleration of the sprung seat mass; and set a spring constant of the spring and a damping coefficient of the damper to values possible to achieve the target value of the acceleration of the sprung seat mass, before the vibrations propagate to the sprung seat mass.

Air spring

An air spring has an air-spring lobe made of elastomer material, which is clamped at the lobe ends thereof via connection parts between the sprung mass and the unsprung mass and is connected by way of the connection parts to the fastening parts of the sprung and the unsprung mass. The connection parts and the air-spring lobe enclose the working chamber that is under internal pressure and contains the air-spring volume. The working chamber is in connection with at least one air connection provided in the connection parts. At least one of the connection parts is connected to the associated fastening part by a releasable snap-in or latching connection and the snap-in or latching connection includes at least one air connection, to which a feed line or a hose for the compressed air supply is connected.

SUSPENSION SEAT

A suspension seat, including: a lower side member that forms a vehicle lower side of a suspension; an upper side member that forms a vehicle upper side of the suspension, and that is configured to support a vehicle seat body from the vehicle lower side; a suspension link mechanism that includes a vehicle lower side portion coupled to the lower side member and a vehicle upper side portion coupled to the upper side member, and that undergoes displacement so as to displace the upper side member along a vehicle vertical direction; a linear displacement section that is provided at the suspension link mechanism and is configured to undergo linear displacement in conjunction with displacement of the suspension link mechanism; and a locking mechanism that immobilizes the linear displacement section so as to immobilize displacement of the suspension link mechanism.
