Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes a seat back including a movable portion that supports an occupant and moves in a vehicle width direction with respect to a main body frame due to a load in a seat width direction, a hard resin material that is provided at a left and right pair of side portions of the seat back and is capable of crushing deformation at a time of a vehicle side impact, and a seat cover that covers a surface of the hard resin material.
KNITTED SEAT TRIM COVER WITH INTEGRAL AIRBAG POCKET
A knitted seat trim cover for use on a vehicle seat equipped with an airbag assembly includes a first knitted panel with a first edge and a second knitted panel with a second edge. The first edge is positioned adjacent the second edge to define an airbag deployment zone. The seat trim cover also includes a pocket panel integrally knit with the first knitted panel and the second knitted panel. The pocket panel defines an airbag pocket configured to hold at least a portion of the airbag assembly.
TRIM COVER FOR SEAT WITH AIRBAG MODULE
A vehicle seat assembly is provided having a seat frame and a foam cushion supported on the seat frame. An airbag module is positioned in an opening formed in the foam cushion. A trim cover assembly covering the foam cushion and airbag module has an interlay material sewn to a trim panel at an interlay seam. The interlay material extends from the interlay seam to cover an outboard surface of the airbag module inside the trim panel to ensure the airbag module is not visible through the trim panel.
VEHICLE SEAT STRUCTURE
A vehicle seat structure includes a vehicle seat including a seat cushion and a seatback, and a pushing apparatus provided inside the seatback at a predetermined height. The pushing apparatus includes a pushing portion that, at a time of a vehicle collision in which an occupant sitting on the vehicle seat moves to a seat forward side, pushes a portion of a seat front face of the seatback to the seat forward side.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat including a seat cushion and a seat back, the vehicle seat includes a front surface portion that structures a portion of a frame of the seat cushion, which is adapted to support buttocks of a passenger, the front surface portion is disposed at a front part of the vehicle seat, and a face of the front surface portion facing toward a front side of the vehicle sea; and an energy absorbing member that is provided along the face of the front surface portion, and the energy absorbing member is configured to irreversibly deform by being pushed toward a rear side of the vehicle seat.
Vehicle Seat
In a vehicle seat (1) comprising a seat cushion (2) and a seatback (3), the seatback comprises a seatback frame (20) including a right and a left side member (24) extending vertically, a side airbag unit (30) attached to one of the side members, a flexible seatback pad (21) provided with a pad side slit (44) to permit an airbag to be deployed opposite to the side airbag unit, a skin member (22) having a skin side slit (51) in a part thereof corresponding to the pad side slit, and a retaining sheet (60) connected to a part of a back side of the seatback pad opposing the side member, and to the side member so as to fixedly secure a position of the seatback pad relative to the side member.
Mounting member and airbag module-equipped seat
An easy-to-attach clip member that makes the surroundings of a stay cloth mounting portion compact while maintaining high airbag deployment performance, and an airbag module-equipped seat with the clip member are provided. A clip member is connected to a cloth-form body that transmits a tensile force. The clip member includes a connecting portion connected to one end of the cloth-form body, and a groove engaged with an edge portion of a mounted portion. The clip member is provided to reduce a torque generated at the connecting portion by the tensile force transmitted from the cloth-form body when engaged with the edge portion of the mounted portion, and connects the cloth-form body to the mounted portion.
Removable car seat cover having a predetermined pre-weakened failure zone of a known bursting strength for facilitating reliable airbag deployment
A removable car seat cover for a car seat having an integral side airbag including a side panel having a predetermined pre-weakened failure zone that is pretreated by controlled laser ablation of the side panel. The pre-weakened failure zone is located at or adjacent to an airbag deployment area of a car seat when the car seat cover is installed on the car seat, and is in the form of an elongate strip extending along the side panel. The pre-weakened failure zone has a known bursting strength to thereby facilitate reliable deployment of the side airbag from the car seat as a result of tearing of the pre-weakened zone when the removable car seat cover is installed thereon.
Vehicle seat side air bag assembly
A seat assembly includes a base. The seat assembly includes an air bag supported by the base. The seat assembly includes a cover adjacent the base. The seat assembly includes a first plurality of ribs extending transversely from the cover and toward the base. The seat assembly includes a second plurality of ribs extending transversely from the base and toward the cover.
Seat cover assembly
A trim cover for a seat assembly includes a front trim cover having first and second sides with first zipper portions disposed on the first and second sides. First and second intermediate strips include first and second ends. The first ends of the intermediate strips include second zipper portions that releasably couple to the first zipper portions of the front trim cover. A rigid back panel includes first and second sides that are operably coupled to the second ends of the first and second intermediate strips. The back panel is coupled to the front trim cover through the intermediate strips. The back panel is a rigid self-supporting member that is pierceable along an edge portion thereof, such that the second ends of the intermediate strips are stitched to the back panel in assembly.
