Conveyance seat

Provided is a conveyance seat equipped with a side airbag device with which an airbag can be inflation-deployed in a more stable state. The conveyance seat includes a seat back and a side airbag device attached to a side portion of the seat back. The seat back includes a back frame having a side frame and a side support member attached to the front part of the side frame and protruding to the seat front side beyond the side frame. The side airbag device has a first airbag inflated on the outside surface side of the side frame and a second airbag inflated on the inside surface side of the side frame. The second airbag passes through a gap formed between the side frame and the side support member in the seat front to back direction and is inflated on the inside surface side of side frame.

An airbag module-equipped seat in which the periphery of an attachment portion of a guide member that guides a deployment direction of an airbag has a compact size and the guide member can be attached easily while maintaining satisfactory deployment performance of the airbag. This seat includes an airbag module attached to a side frame, a guide member that guides a deployment direction of the airbag module, and an attachment member for attaching the guide member to the side frame. The side frame has an attachment hole for the attachment member at a position different from a shaft portion for attaching the airbag module. The attachment member has a holding space in which an end of the guide member is held in a detachable manner, and is inserted into the attachment hole in a state in which the end of the guide member is held in the holding space.

A system and method for assembling a trim cover. A seam may be provided to attach the first trim panel to a second trim panel. Tabs and notches may be provided with at least one of the trim panels. One or more stitch attributes may be measured in response to detection of a tab or notch.

Some embodiments are directed to a guide structure for use with a deployable airbag assembly of a vehicle seat, the vehicle seat having a frame extending therein. The guide structure can include an elongated plate configured to be connected to at least one of the frame and the airbag assembly such that the plate extends along an exterior thereof, the plate including: a first end configured to be connected to the at least one of the frame and the airbag assembly by a fastener; and a second end configured to be inserted through a slot in the at least one of the frame and the airbag assembly so as to be disposed within an interior thereof. The guide structure can also include a sheet connected to the plate, the sheet configured to thereby guide deployment of the airbag assembly.

The attachment bracket defines an attachment section that extends along an inboard surface of the outboard bolster section and a deflection surface extending from the attachment section with the inflatable airbag. The deployment section is attached to an inboard side of the attachment section. The deflection surface is dimensioned and shaped such that upon deployment of the inflatable airbag the inflatable airbag is guided to move by the deflection surface in a forward deployment direction relative to the outboard bolster section.

Seat assemblies for motor vehicles and methods for fabricating such seat assemblies are provided. In one example, a seat assembly for a motor vehicle includes a seat frame and a seat back panel that is coupled to the seat frame. The seat back panel has a frangible tear seam that defines an integrated airbag door. An airbag is disposed between the seat frame and the seat back panel adjacent to the integrated airbag door. The airbag inflates during deployment. The integrated airbag door is configured to open during deployment to allow the airbag to inflate outside of the seat back panel.
