Electrically Conductive Trim Connector Assembly For A Seat
A trim attachment for a vehicle includes a trim layer having an electrically conductive trim material forming a first electrical circuit, a supporting structure supporting the trim layer, and an electrically conductive attachment member with first and second portions. The first portion is fixed to the trim layer and the second portion is fixed to the supporting structure. The first and second portions are adapted to both selectively resist separation of the trim layer and the supporting structure and to electrically connect the first electrical circuit to a second electrical circuit that is external to the trim layer. The first and second portions may both resist separation of the trim layer and the supporting structure and electrically connect the first and second electrical circuits at a contact surface between the first and second portions.
Trim component for a base of a vehicle seat and method of manufacturing the trim component
A trim component for a vehicle seat base includes a center portion and first and second side portions. The center portion includes a center inner panel that can face a frame of the seat and a center outer panel that can to be visible within a passenger cabin of the vehicle. The center outer panel includes a flexible material and covers the center inner panel. The first and second side portions are fixed on opposite sides of the center portion. Each of the first and second side portions includes a side inner panel that can face the frame of the seat and a side outer panel that can be visible within the passenger cabin. The side outer panel includes the flexible material and covers the side inner panel. The trim component can be fixed to a back of the seat to conceal at least a portion of the frame.
Elastomeric upholstery piping
An upholstery piping component for a vehicle seat includes an elongated anchor and an elongated projection. The elongated anchor is formed from an elastomeric material. The elongated anchor extends along a length. The elongated anchor is configured to be coupled to a first upholstery portion and a second upholstery portion and disposed between the first upholstery portion and the second upholstery portion. The elongated projection is formed from the elastomeric material. The elongated projection is integrally is formed with the elongated anchor. The elongated projection extends from the elongated anchor for at least a portion of the length. The elongated projection is configured to at least partially conceal a seam between the first upholstery portion and the second upholstery portion. The elastomeric material is flexible such that the upholstery piping component is configured to move between a neutral configuration and a modified configuration.
Seat
The present invention provides a seat which is unlikely to cause wrinkles or slack in a surface cover thereof, makes surface cover attachment and detachment simple, and is also capable of withstanding long-term use. To this end, a second fastening part 50 for attachably/detachably connecting a cushion material 2 and a surface cover 4 to one another is formed as a zipper in a seat 1.
Structure of wadded-up seat trim cover and method of manufacturing wadded-up seat trim cover
A structure of wadded-up seat trim cover, having a plurality of trim cover pieces sewn together at one end, each composed of a wadding member and a skin member, includes a bonded portion formed by bonding the skin member to the wadding member made shorter than the skin member, at a position remote, by a prescribed distance, from the end of the wadding member overlapping the skin member; a first sewn portion formed by bending that portion of the skin member, not overlapping the wadding member, along the end of the wadding member and then by sewing the portions of the adjacent skin members together; and second sewn portions formed by bending each end of the adjacent skin member to the back of the trim cover piece at the first sewn portion and then by sewing the adjacent skin members together at overlapping portions.
Structure of wadded-up seat trim cover and method of manufacturing wadded-up seat trim cover

Adaptive tensile surface
An adaptive tensile control system includes a covering couple to a motorized retractor operable to release and retract the covering in response to control signals. An adaptive seat suspension includes a flexible suspension mat coupled to a motorized retractor operable to release and retract the flexible suspension mat in response to control signals. A method includes adapting the size of a support in a seat and adapting a covering overlying the support. A device includes an inflatable bolster within a seat having a covering. An apparatus includes a seat back and a seat that includes foam having a variable surface and a seamless covering.
SEAT WITH DETECTOR
A seat is configured to suitably restrain a warping of a connecting portion in a signal transmission path, when the connecting portion is disposed inside a through hole provided in a pad member of the seat. The seat includes: a pressure sensor that detects a seating pressure of a seat occupant; a leading wire of the transmission path that extends from the pressure sensor; a cable of the transmission path that extends from an electronic control unit for a signal output from the pressure sensor; a warp restraining member that restrains a warping of a connecting portion of the leading wire and the cable; and a through hole formed in a pad member of the seat, from one end to another end in the thickness direction of the pad member. The warp restraining member is inserted into the through hole to thereby pass the transmission path through the through hole.
CONVEYANCE SEAT AND SEAT COVER FOR THE SAME
A conveyance seat may include a seat pad, a first recess and a second recess formed in the seat pad. The first recess may have a pad-side engaging member disposed therein. The second recess may have no pad-side engaging member disposed therein. The conveyance seat may include a seat cover configured to cover the seat pad, the seat cover including a plurality of cover pieces, a first stitched portion and a second stitched portion projecting from the seat cover. At the first and second stitched portions, adjacent cover pieces may meet. The first stitched portion may have a cover-side engaging member configured to engage the pad-side engaging member. The second stitched portion may have no cover-side engaging member and may intersect with the first stitched portion at an intersection point. The conveyance seat may include a reinforcement member attached to the second stitched portion and bestriding the intersection point.
Seat cover assembly
A trim cover for a seat assembly includes a front trim cover having first and second sides with first zipper portions disposed on the first and second sides.
