Seat assembly
A seat assembly for a vehicle comprises a seat base fixed to a vehicle floor, a seat back pivotably disposed to the seat base, a first side bolster mounted onto a first side of the seat back, a second side bolster mounted onto a second side of the seat back, a third side bolster mounted onto a first side of the seat base, a fourth side bolster mounted onto a second side of the seat base, and a back insert mounted within the seat back, each of the side bolsters including a support member and an outer trim member, the support members each including a base, an outer frame and a plurality of interior support walls, the outer frame and the plurality of interior support walls defining a plurality of passages extending through each support member to allow light and air to pass through.
PANEL ASSEMBLY WITH MOLDED FOAM BACKING
A seat trim cover having a 3-dimensional shape for an automotive vehicle seat is formed by pre-cutting a laminate blank into a predefined shape having a predefined selvage extending around an outer periphery of the laminate blank, vacuum forming the laminate blank in a 3-dimensional mold to form a 3-dimensional laminate blank, and forming a molded foam backing on the 3-dimensional shaped laminate blank to form the seat trim cover. The molded foam backing has an outer perimeter that is spaced apart from the predefined selvage such that the predefined selvage is free of foam.
Cover fabric and a method of manufacturing a vehicle seat cover fabric
A method of manufacturing a cover for a vehicle seat by weaving a first layer including a synthetic material, weaving a second layer including wool, and interweaving the first layer and the second layer with the second layer underling the first layer. The cover may include a woven top layer and a woven bottom layer, interwoven with the woven top layer. The woven top layer may include a plurality of first warp yarns and a plurality of first weft yarns. The woven bottom layer may include a plurality of second warp yarns and a plurality of second weft yarns. The plurality of second warp and weft yarns may include wool.
Method for producing a seat cover for a vehicle seat made of a form-fit knit part
A method produces a seat cover for a vehicle seat made of a form-fit knit part. The form-fit knit part has continuous fibers and reinforcing fibers, and each of the reinforcing fibers is made of a core fiber and a cladding fiber coaxially sheathing the core fiber. The form-fit knit part is first produced using a knitting machine, and the seat cover is subsequently produced from the form-fit knit part using an ironing machine. The ironing machine has at least one lower mold in the shape of the vehicle seat, and the core fiber has a higher melting point than the cladding fiber.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN EDGE STRIP FOR A SEAT COVER
A device for producing an edge strip may have a supply unit with at least two openings for separately supplying an edge strip core and a material strip of a casing for the edge strip core. The material strip may be provided with a decorative element, an adapter unit, and a processing unit. The supply unit arranges the edge strip core on a surface side of the material strip which forms the inner face of the casing, and the adapter unit is designed to fold the material strip around the edge strip core. Free ends of the casing protrude from the edge strip core and lie one over the other, and the processing unit connects the free ends lying one over the other together. A method for producing an edge strip using such a device and to a seat cover with an edge strip is also included.
BACK PANEL FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
A back panel for a vehicle seat is described. The back panel may have an upper layer, a lower layer supporting the upper layer, an adhesive layer arranged between the upper layer and the lower layer and fixing the upper layer to the lower layer, and at least one additional panel member welded to the lower layer.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING EMBROIDERY PATTERN OR QUILTING PATTERN OF CLOTH FOR INTERIOR PANEL OF VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a embroidery pattern or a quilting pattern of cloth for an interior panel of a vehicle, by which the embroidery pattern or the quilting pattern is manufactured individually or simultaneously on the cloth that is the interior panel for the vehicle by using a computer-aided embroidery machine.
EDGE STRIP FOR A SEAT COVER
An edge strip for a seat cover may have an edge strip core, which is surrounded by a casing, and an edge strip tab. The edge strip core and the casing are sewn together such that an ornamental seam is formed on the outer circumference of the casing. A device for producing an edge strip is also disclosed. The device may have a supply unit for supplying an edge strip core and an unfolded material strip for a casing of the edge strip core to an additional processing unit, such as a sewing machine. The supply unit is designed to supply the edge strip core to the additional processing unit, such as a sewing machine, on a material strip surface side which forms the inner face of the casing, and the sewing machine sews the edge strip core to the material strip.
Textile composite material for lamination of a seat cover, comprising a nonwoven fabric component and a foam material component
A textile composite material for lamination, in particular a textile composite material for lamination of a seat cover, with at least one nonwoven fabric component and with at least one foam material component which is connected to the nonwoven fabric component, wherein the nonwoven fabric component and the foam material component are mechanically connected to each other. The nonwoven fabric component and the foam material component may be needled with each other, wherein a holding force between the nonwoven fabric component and the foam material component, which acts counter to a foam-nonwoven separating force, is greater than 1 N.
