Method of manufacturing a seat back and cushion assembly
10604045 · 2020-03-31 · ·

A method for manufacturing a vehicle seat cushion assembly includes providing a perforated outer material to define an outer seating surface. A backing material is sewn to the outer material using a first sewing line against which a wadding material is placed in a central region of the cushion. The wadding material is further secured by a hook and loop fastening product to the backing material. To secure the wadding material, a second sewing line is run. Left and right wadding materials are placed between the sewing lines and the edges of the cushion. Additional sewing lines laterally cross the longitudinal sewing lines to imbue the cushion with a wrist watch-like appearance.

Interior part of vehicle and manufacturing method thereof

An interior part of vehicle capable of improving in design property is manufactured by joining a plurality of pieces of a layered cloth having at least a skin material and a cushion material. The plurality of pieces to be joined are processed with continuous stitches, and the pieces joined with the stitch processing are sewn up, with the front surfaces put together, along ends to be joined. One of the joined plurality of pieces is folded, thus the plurality of pieces are provided, with the front surfaces facing vehicle interior space.

Foam article

There is described a foam article comprising: a base foam having a textured surface; a trim cover covering at least a portion of the textured surface, the trim cover comprising: (i) a finished outer layer comprising an occupant-contact outer portion and inner portion; (ii) a compressible buffer layer secured with respect to the inner portion of the finished outer layer; and (iii) a contact layer secured with respect to the compressible layer and configured to be in contact with the textured surface of the base foam, the contact layer having a secant modulus at 5% strain of at least about 7 when measured according to modified ASTM D3574-11, Test E, Tensile Test. There is also described a foam article comprising: a base foam having a textured surface; a trim cover comprising a finished outer layer; and optionally, a contact layer interposed between the foam element and the trim cover, the contact layer in contact with at least a portion of the textured surface of the base foam and comprising a contact material; the foam article having a read through score of at least 20 when measured pursuant to modified ASTM D3575-11 I2 (Procedure B). The present inventors have discovered that the occurrence of read through may be obviated or mitigated if the contact layer having a secant modulus at 5% strain of at least about 7 when measured according to modified ASTM D3574-11, Test E, Tensile Test is used.

Vehicle seat

The vehicle seat is structured by covering the pad surface with the surface layer provided with the beading, which prevents the beading formed on the vehicle seat from being rubbed and worn out by clothing of the occupant who is getting on or off the vehicle under pressure applied by the thigh or the back of the occupant, and further prevents dislocation of the beading on the seat under pulling force applied by the thigh of the occupant who is getting on or off the vehicle. The pad has a groove in which the beading is embedded. The beading is embedded in the groove famed in the pad, and the surface layer for enclosing the beading core of the beading is bonded and fixed to the bottom surface of the groove.

Skin material and conveyance seat

It is intended to improve texture of a decoration using a stitch line while improving workability in sewing for forming the stitch line at a skin material, to promote manufacturing efficiency as compared to formation of a stepped shape only by sewing, and to reduce the number of steps. A skin material is used for a conveyance seat, and is molded using a die. The skin material includes a linearly-extending stepped portion having a stepped shape transferred from the die, and a stitch line sewn along the stepped portion. The stepped portion serves as a guide upon formation of the stitch line.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR MATCHING MEASURED PRESSURE AND/OR HUMIDITY VALUES
20200050172 · 2020-02-13 ·

The invention relates to a control system for measuring pressure and/or humidity, comprising at least one apparatus for measuring pressure and/or humidity, comprising at least one sensor for measuring pressure and/or humidity, wherein the sensor comprises at least one capacitor comprising at least two electrodes that are arranged, in particular, in a horizontal direction along and on an, in particular, flexible support material relative to one another. At least one dielectric layer is arranged between the electrodes, wherein at least one at least partially liquid-permeable and/or liquid-adsorbing moisture layer is arranged at least in some places on a side, facing away from the support material, of at least one electrode and/or of the dielectric layer. The at least one electrode and/or the dielectric layer are thus then arranged between the support material and the moisture layer in a transverse direction, such that a capacitance is at least partially changed by the liquid at least partially hitting the dielectric layer, wherein a processing unit is designed and provided to measure and/or store measurement values of the sensor. This creates a capacitive moisture sensor. The invention is characterized in that the data measured by the sensor is transmitted by the processing unit to a central CPU, wherein this data is processed by the processing unit.
