A vehicle includes a driver seat, a front passenger seat and a console assembly located between the driver seat and the front passenger seat. At least one of the driver seat and the front passenger seat is spaced from the console assembly in a vehicle lateral direction forming a gap between the console assembly and the at least one of the driver seat and the front passenger seat. A retractable cover assembly includes a flexible, sheet-form cover that is connected to a retract device that takes up or pays out the cover between extended and retracted configurations.

The present system provides a cover that can be used to protect a user from existing contamination on an armrest, in particular an armrest in an airplane, bus, train, or the like. A universal car seat cover system enabling an accurate and adaptable fit is provided. The accurate fit is facilitated by a headrest-receiving and headrest-securing portion. The upper front and rear portions of the universal car seat cover is movable between an open condition for receiving the headrest and an overlapping condition for securing the headrest, wherein the upper rear portions engage one or more headrest supports through integrated post slots provided by the upper rear portion. Loops interconnect separate front and seat portions of the universal car seat cover, and the loops associate with butterfly anchors to further facilitate a selectively accurate fit. The adaptable fit is by way of a two-point anchoring system enabling selective adaptability of portions of the seat cover system to fit a variety of sizes of vehicular seats, wherein the two-point anchoring system embodies the loop-butterfly anchors and the secured overlapping condition, respectively.

A vehicle seat includes a seatback having an upper portion. An adjustable headrest assembly is supported on the upper portion of the seatback. The adjustable headrest assembly has a headrest bun and an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the headrest bun between extended and retracted positions. A trim component is disposed on the upper portion of the seatback having a relief portion. The relief portion is configured to receive a portion of the adjustment mechanism as the headrest bun is driven towards the extended position. A flexible cover member is coupled to the trim component at the relief portion. The flexible cover member has a plate member operable between extend and retracted positions. The portion of the adjustment mechanism abuts an inner surface of the plate member to move the plate member towards the extended position as the headrest bun is driven towards the extended position.

A vehicle seat assembly and a method of forming the assembly are provided. The assembly has a seat back frame with a flange extending into an opening. A head restraint insert has an insert body to be received by the opening and forming a mounting surface. A trim cover receives the head restraint insert, and is positioned between the mounting surface and the flange of the seat back frame when the head restraint insert is connected to the seat back frame. An assembly is provided with an insert body forming a mounting face, a retainer extending outwardly from the insert body to form a channel with the mounting face, and a trim cover sized to receive the insert body and having an edge trim extending to cooperate with a lip on a frame to retain the assembly to the frame.
