The blanket includes sleeves that allow the passenger to use the arms while covered, an opening for receiving a passenger seat headrest and an inflatable neck pillow encircling a head aperture.

Rigid carpet vehicle seat backer arrangement and vehicle seat with rigid carpet seat backer arrangement

A vehicle seat carpet backer assembly includes a carpet piece and resin/fiber material joined and molded to form a resin/fiber backer panel of a defined shape. A flexible toe-kick portion is provided a seamless transition between the upper carpet portion of the resin/fiber, upper carpet, panel portion and the lower carpet portion of the flexible toe-kick portion. A method includes providing a carpet piece cut to a size and shape and a sized resin/fiber panel material. The resin/fiber panel material is heated and placed with a top section of the carpet in a molding press to fuse them together. A shaped assembly is then formed with flanges which are inserted in channels of a seat. A polypropylene reinforcement sheet is attached to a lower section of the carpet that was not subjected to the molding press. Elastic bands are sewn to the lower edge of the backer assembly.

A seat covering for a tufted automobile seat cushions has cover sheets adapted to fit over and around the cushions with a plurality of open-ended channels integrated therewith. Each channel is aligned and associated with a tuft of the cushion after the cover sheet has been fitted over and around the cushion. The covering has a plurality one or more straps, each passing loosely through an associated one of the channels and having strap ends extending from each open-end thereof. Pulling the extending strap ends of each strap after the cover has been fitted over and around the cushion causes the strap to be pulled into the associated tuft to cause the cover sheet to conform to the tuft. A fastener allows for simple and organized connection of the pulled strap ends.

ENERGY EFFICIENT TEMPERATURE REGULATED HEAT EXCHANGER SYSTEM
20200376922 · 2020-12-03 ·

The present invention provides a method and system for cooling a seat 14 surface, comprising at least one cushion, plurality of flexible metallic heat exchangers and optionally a cushioning layer. The metal heat exchangers are thin flexible metal sheets 18a, 18b with high thermal conductivity and a preferable thickness in the range of 0.05 mm and 10 mm. These are incorporated in the cushion, wherein the conduit is bonded, soldered or brazed to thin flexible metal sheet 18a, 18b acting as continued or intermittent conduit, with fluid, for cooling the metallic heat exchangers. The present system allows lowering of the total temperature difference improving the coefficient of performance of the refrigeration system that supplies the cooled fluid, leading to a smaller, lighter cold water supply system that also consumes less power and performs direct cooling of an occupant's body.
