Adjustable seat
A vehicle seat includes a fabric center portion, first and second bolsters, a first seam between the first bolster and the center portion, a second seam between the center portion and the second bolster, and a seat frame. First and second extension members are disposed along and coupled to the respective first and second seams. The first and second extension members are adjustable between first and second positions.
Vehicle Seating Systems
An alternative seating arrangement of a vehicle with a variety of vehicle restraints and occupant safety systems that are associated with the alternative seating arrangement. Many embodiments include rear facing and side facing seats.
VEHICLE-MOUNTED SEAT DEVICE
A vehicle-mounted seat device includes an SB main frame, a backrest, a relay disk secured at the center in the width direction of the backrest, a plurality of radial wires for suspending the backrest such that the backrest can swing relative to the SB main frame with the relay disk as the center, an SB subframe capable of swinging together with the backrest, a headrest, a headrest stay extending downward from the headrest and mounted on the SB main frame so as to rotate around a rotation shaft; a pressure-receiving body secured on the headrest stay so as to be disposed behind and opposed to the relay disk; and a provisional connection mechanism for provisionally connecting the headrest stay to the SB main frame.
Vehicle seating system and methods thereof
A vehicle seating system includes a frame, a plurality of seat bolsters coupled to the frame, and a plurality of air channels interposing adjacent ones of the plurality of seat bolsters. The plurality of air channels exposes portions of the frame between the adjacent ones of the plurality of seat bolsters. Each of the plurality of seat bolsters is detachably coupled to a front surface of the frame while the frame is installed in a vehicle. Each of the plurality of seat bolsters has a seat bolster configuration defined based on a user physical profile, a use case of the vehicle, an environmental condition, or a combination thereof.
Vehicular seat element
Disclosed is a vehicular seat element comprising a first major surface, a second major surface and a foam core element disposed therebetween. The first major surface is configured to be in contact with an occupant of the vehicle and the second major surface is configured to be in contact with a support surface of the vehicle. The first major surface comprises a rate sensitive foam element secured with respect to the foam core element. The foam core element and the rate sensitive foam element are different from one another.
Airbag system
An airbag system includes a main airbag device that is provided in front of an occupant and that includes a first bag body, a seat airbag device that is provided in the vehicle seat and that includes a second bag body which is configured to be deployed by being inflated toward at least sides and a front of a torso of the occupant at behind the first bag body and which is configured to restrict the occupant to the vehicle seat, and a seat displacement mechanism that is configured to release restriction by a lock section that restricts movement of the vehicle seat and that is configured to displace the occupant toward the first bag body in front in a case an input impact is equal to or larger than a predetermined strength.
Configurable vehicle seat and method therefor
A conformal seat insert for an adjustable vehicle seat, the conformal seat insert comprising an insert frame, the insert frame having one or more insert reference features for locating the insert frame on a seat frame of the vehicle seat in a predetermined position relative to the seat frame, and a contoured support surface formed in the insert frame, the contoured support surface having a crew reference point corresponding to an acromial point of a shoulder of a seat occupant of the adjustable vehicle seat, the crew reference point being a datum from which an eye position of the seat occupant is established relative to instrumentation of an aerospace vehicle in which the adjustable vehicle seat is located.
Vehicle seat
A motor vehicle seat having a backrest and a seat part, at least one flexible, fluid-fillable hollow body attached to the seat part or the backrest, and at least two chambers that are in fluid communication with one another. The chambers are arranged one on top of the other and have in their walls corresponding passages which enable a fluid exchange between the chambers. The chambers are firmly connected to one another in the region of the passages, wherein the volume of the lowermost chamber adjacent to the seat part or the backrest is the largest and the volume of each additional chamber is smaller compared with the volume of the chamber below it. The chambers are arranged one on top of the other such that the maximum lift of the fluid-fillable hollow body when it is being filled with fluid is outside the center of the lowermost chamber.
