An airbag system includes a main airbag device that is provided in front of an occupant and that includes a first bag body, a seat airbag device that is provided in the vehicle seat and that includes a second bag body which is configured to be deployed by being inflated toward at least sides and a front of a torso of the occupant at behind the first bag body and which is configured to restrict the occupant to the vehicle seat, and a seat displacement mechanism that is configured to release restriction by a lock section that restricts movement of the vehicle seat and that is configured to displace the occupant toward the first bag body in front in a case an input impact is equal to or larger than a predetermined strength.

An apparatus for a vehicle comprises a lid for covering an opening of a container and a panel pivotally attached to the lid to enable the panel to pivot between a stowed orientation, in which the panel extends alongside the first face of the lid, and a first deployed orientation, in which the panel extends at a positive angle to the first face of the lid. The apparatus also includes a cushion member and a cushion attachment mechanism attaching the cushion member to the lid. The cushion attachment mechanism is arranged to enable the cushion member to move between a stowed position and a deployed position.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat is provided with a side support device configured to assist vehicle exit behavior of an occupant while stably securing a holding property for the sitting occupant. The vehicle seat includes a side support device configured to support a cushion side portion of a seat cushion to be switchable between a seating available position and a vehicle exit assist position, a lock device configured to lock the cushion side portion in the seating available position, and a lock release device configured to release a lock state of the lock device. The lock release device includes a first lever configured to detect sitting of the occupant on a cushion center portion and a second lever configured to detect sitting of the occupant on the cushion side portion. The lock state is released when the detection by the second lever occurs while the detection by the first lever continues.
SEAT CRUSH STRUCTURE
A seat of a vehicle is designed for safety to reduce risk of injury to an occupant of the seat in the event of an abrupt movement or a collision involving the vehicle from the rear. The seat may have seatback geometry designed to promote coupling an occupant to the seat, thereby minimizing a gap between an occupant and the seatback and, therefore, the impact forces to the occupant in a rear-facing collision by reducing a relative velocity between the occupant and the seat, as well as absorbing energy of the occupant over a longer distance. The seat may include one or more materials that plastically deform under a force imparted on the seat by the occupant accelerating relative to and toward the seat during a vehicle collision. Cavities in the seat can be used, in some examples, to create a particular compressibility for optimizing impact.
Rotary vehicle seat facilitating boarding and deboarding
A rotary car seat facilitating getting in/out of a car includes: a frame portion constituting a framework of a seat and supporting a load; and a sheath portion formed outside the frame portion. The frame portion includes a backrest frame constituting a framework of a backrest seat and supporting a load, and a cushion frame constituting a framework of a cushion seat and supporting a load. The cushion frame includes an upper frame plate on which the sheath portion is seated, a lower frame plate formed beneath the upper frame plate, a link portion connecting the upper frame plate to be able to rotate on the lower frame plate, and a position setting mechanism is configured to set an area of rotation of the upper frame plate. The lower frame plate is connected to the backrest frame, and the upper frame plate is not connected to the backrest frame such that the upper frame plate can solely rotate independently. The upper frame plate includes a roller portion having a wheel. The lower frame plate includes a guide groove formed to be recessed inward from the lower frame plate along a trajectory of movement of the roller portion that is supposed to move when the upper frame plate rotates around the rotating shaft, so as to guide movement of the roller portion.

A shape adapting system of a cushion assembly and method of forming a shape adapting system of a cushion assembly include an array of cells that retain a fluid, a fluid exchange sub-system coupled to the cells, wherein the fluid exchange sub-system fluidly connects the cells together, and at least one valve coupled to the fluid exchange sub-system. The valve(s) is configured to move between an open position in which the fluid is able to migrate among the cells to change a shape of the support base, and a closed position in which the shape of the support base is maintained.
SEAT WITH PAD
The present disclosure relates to a seat that may have a support structure and a pad having a support wire attachable to the support structure. A retainer may be provided which is fixed at one end through an opening in the support structure and at the opposite end onto the support wire. The retainer may have a mounting member to fix through the opening and a hook to catch the support wire, the mounting member having a use position and a mounting position that is inclined relative to the use position. The mounting member and the hook may be joined by a spacer bar.

The access engine may be configured to access a computer-aided design (CAD) seat surface that represents a seat surface of a seat design and access seat parameters for the seat design. The foam part generation engine may be configured to construct a CAD foam part for the seat design based on the CAD seat surface and the seat parameters.
