A seat device includes a seat cushion where a sitting person is seated, and a seatback configured to support the upper body of the sitting person. The seatback includes a seatback frame, a seatback pad placed on a front face of the seatback frame, and a seatback cover covering a surface of the seatback pad. A plurality of stretch airbags is provided in a part of the seatback at a position corresponding to the lumbar part of the sitting person, and the stretch airbags are configured to inflate and press a surface of the seatback to a direction approaching the sitting person. The stretch airbags are placed to overlap each other in a thickness direction of the seatback such that the seatback pad is sandwiched between the stretch airbags.

A motion sickness control system for a vehicle includes a vibrator. The motion sickness control system includes a sensor configured to measure vibration of the vehicle. The motion sickness control system includes a computer having a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to actuate the vibrator at a target frequency based on the measured vibration of the vehicle. The target frequency attenuates the measured vibration of the vehicle.

COMPONENTS WITH SMA-CONTROLLED HINGE
A shape memory alloy (SMA) controlled hinge assembly is provided, including assemblies and combinations for adjusting a shape or position of an occupant support component, such as a vehicle seat support component or other seating component. The assembly includes an occupant support component and a hinge assembly configured to adjust a shape or position of at least a portion of the occupant support component. The hinge assembly includes a stationary plate and a movable plate rotatable relative to the base plate about a fixed axis of rotation. The hinge assembly includes a shape memory alloy wire coupling the stationary plate with the movable plate. An actuator is provided and configured to transform the phase of the shape memory alloy wire. In various aspects, the occupant support component is selected from one of a seat bottom; a seatback; a seat bolster; a seat head rest, and the like.

The invention relates to a vibrating warning device for a vehicle seat, having a vibrating patch (31) intended to be attached to the upper face of the padding of the seat part or backrest of one said seat, said patch (31) comprising at least one electrically controlled vibratory actuator (32) accommodated in a flexible support jacket (33); characterized in that said flexible support jacket (33) has a main body (34) enclosing said vibratory actuator(s) (32), and at least two arms (39) extending from said main body (34), on either side of the latter, and each comprising a retaining hook (40) intended to engage with a corresponding recess made in said padding in order to keep said main body (34) against the upper face of this padding.
Seat assembly including a modular foam arrangement and method for fabricating the same
Seat assemblies and methods for fabricating seat assemblies are provided. In one example, a seat assembly includes a seat frame and a seat cushion that is supported by the seat frame. The seat cushion includes a modular foam arrangement including a first modular foam section having a first interlocking feature and a second modular foam section having a second interlocking feature engaged with the first interlocking feature. An outer covering at least partially covers the modular foam arrangement.
Lumbar support cushion
A lumbar support cushion with a cushion cover capable of forming an L shaped cushion that fits on a chair or vehicle seat. A cushion cover encloses a poly foam padding member and more polyethylene closed cell foam lumbar support member. The cushion cover includes a hinged flap to allow for the insertion and removal of the lumbar support member. In a preferred embodiment, the lumbar support member is D shaped In one embodiment the D shaped lumbar support member is comprised of a plurality of nesting D shaped members.
