Array type automobile seat profile adaptive-adjusting apparatus and method
The present invention provides an array type automobile seat profile adaptive-adjusting apparatus, comprising a seat back plate, a seat bottom plate, a seat profile layer covered thereon and a plurality of shape memory material actuators which are arranged in a rectangular array and are disposed between the seat profile layer and the seat back plate and between the seat profile layer and the seat bottom plate, wherein each of the shape memory material actuators comprises a plurality of sequentially nested sleeves, a return spring through which an outwardly extending elastic force is applied to the sleeves, a pulley block fixedly arranged in the sleeve located at a tail end, and a memory alloy wire which is in a shape of filament and is wound on the pulley block.
Bolster sections for a seating assembly for a vehicle incorporating a metallic support element and a method of manufacturing the same via overmolding the metallic support element with foam
A method of manufacturing a bolster section for a seating assembly of a vehicle comprising: presenting a first metallic support element that includes a tubular portion; and overmolding the tubular portion of the first metallic support element with foam. The tubular portion of the first metallic support element is bent to a predetermined shape before overmolding the tubular portion of the first metallic support element with foam. A second layer of foam can be applied over the foam overmolded over the tubular portion of the first metallic support element. The second layer of foam can be a different type of foam than the foam overmolded over the tubular portion of the first metallic support element. A first end of the tubular portion can be flattened and an aperture formed therein, to allow the bolster section to be attached to a structural support of a seating assembly of a vehicle.
Thoracic air bladder assembly
A seat air bladder assembly is provided with at least one central air bladder region having a support surface. At least one pair of lateral air bladder regions extend from opposed sides of the at least one central bladder region. The at least one pair of lateral air bladder regions are oriented at a non-zero angle to incline laterally and support a thoracic region of a seat occupant. A seat assembly is provided with a seat back with a contact surface with a thoracic region. An air bladder assembly is oriented within the thoracic region of the seat back with a support surface that is reclined relative to the contact surface to provide support, and wedge-shaped so that during inflation the air bladder assembly inflates in an upward and forward direction relative to the seat back.
Mechanism for a supine motor vehicle seating assembly
A seat assembly forming a substantially horizontal plane for an exposed surface of each of a lower seat cushion and a seatback cushion of a seatback comprises a lifter mechanism for a rearward edge of the lower seat cushion. The lifter mechanism comprises a bracket pivotable about a transverse bar fixedly mounted to a frame assembly for a lower seat assembly, the bracket comprising a forward lever and a rearward lever; and a link pinned at a first end to the seatback and pinned at a second end to the rearward lever by a slot. The rearward edge of the lower seat cushion is initially raised by the forward lever upon the seatback pivoting to a predetermined reclined position and the rearward edge of the lower seat cushion is raised to the substantially horizontal plane upon the seatback pivoting to a fully reclined position.
Seat pad
Provided is a seat pad (10) having a placing surface (11), wherein a lateral slit section (15) extending from an outer side toward an inner side of the seat pad (10) is formed in a first lateral direction (B1) along the placing surface (11), and at least a portion of the lateral slit section (15) gradually becomes smaller in a thickness direction (H) perpendicular to the placing surface (11) from the outer side toward the inner side of the seat pad (10) in the first lateral direction (B1).
Component for a vehicle seat
A component of a vehicle seat and method for the production thereof includes a cover having a plurality of panels with each panel including a peripheral mating surface. The plurality of panels are mated together at the peripheral mating surfaces to form a cavity and foam is injected into the cavity of the cover.
Vehicular Seat Element
Disclosed is a vehicular seat element comprising a first major surface, a second major surface and a foam core element disposed therebetween. The first major surface is configured to be in contact with an occupant of the vehicle and the second major surface is configured to be in contact with a support surface of the vehicle. The first major surface comprises a rate sensitive foam element secured with respect to the foam core element. The foam core element and the rate sensitive foam element are different from one another.
Seat pad and seat pad production device
A seat pad (10) having a loading surface (11). In the seat pad (10), a lateral slit portion (15), extending from the outside towards the inside of the seat pad (10) in a first lateral direction (B1) that is parallel to the loading surface (11), is formed. A longitudinal slit portion (15) is provided at an end portion of the lateral slit portion (15), in a second lateral direction (B2) that is orthogonal to the first lateral direction (B1) and that is parallel to the loading surface (11). The longitudinal slit portion (21) extends from the lateral slit portion (15) towards the loading surface (11) in a thickness direction (H) that is orthogonal to the loading surface (11).
Seat assembly including a modular foam arrangement with a venting modular section and method for fabricating the same
Seat assemblies and methods for fabricating seat assemblies are provided. In one example, a seat assembly includes a seat frame and a seat cushion that is supported by the seat frame. The seat cushion includes a modular foam arrangement having an interior surface disposed therein. The modular foam arrangement includes a venting modular section in fluid communication with the interior surface. An outer covering at least partially covers the modular foam arrangement. An air movement device is in fluid communication with the venting modular section for advancing air between the interior surface and the air movement device.
