Multi-material support pad
A vehicle seat includes a seat base, a seat foam supported by the seat base, and a support pad positioned between the seat base and at least a portion of the seat foam. The support pad being formed of a combination of a first material and a second material. A seat cover covering the support pad and the seat foam. The first material has a first recovery hysteresis and the second material has a second recovery hysteresis that is less than the first recovery hysteresis.
BACKING STRAP SECURED TO A CONCAVE SEATBACK WITH TIE-DOWN STRAPS
A vehicle seat having a seat cover including an outer cover, a padding layer, and a backing element that are joined together with stitches or a lamination joint. A seat cover retention apparatus is operatively connected to the backing element wherein a plurality of straps secure the backing element to the vehicle seat structure. Lateral side straps are secured to the backing element and extend through openings defined by the foam bun and are secured to the frame and/or the foam bun. A center strap is secured to the backing element and extends through a center opening to be secured to a back side of the foam bun and/or frame. The backing element may be an elastic strap or a layer of non-woven fleece material with slits for the straps. The straps may be elastic material or non-woven material.
Multi layer seat with inserts
A vehicle seat including a seat assembly and an insert assembly. The seat assembly having a seat base portion, a backrest portion. The insert assembly includes upper inserts, lower inserts, and a lumbar cushion. The upper inserts are filled with a combination of a silicone anti-freezing solution and small extruded polystyrene packing balls. The lower inserts are filled with jelly. The upper and lower inserts are mounted within the seat base portion and backrest portion. The lumbar cushion is mounted inside the backrest portion. The conjunction of the lower insert, upper insert and lumbar cushion are configured to bring maximum comfort to a user. The upper inserts, lower inserts and lumbar cushion are configured to bring a user an exceptional stability and support without pressure applied to a tailbone.
Vehicle seat with tilting seat portion
A vehicle seat can be configured to provide support to a vehicle occupant in conditions when lateral acceleration is experienced. Shape memory material members can be operatively positioned with respect to a seat portion of the vehicle seat. The shape memory material members can be selectively activated by an activation input. When activated, the shape memory material members can engage a seat pan so as to cause the seat pan to tilt in a respective lateral direction. As a result, a seat cushion supported by the seat pan can also tilt in the respective lateral direction. The seat cushion can be tilted in a lateral direction that is opposite to the direction of the lateral acceleration. Thus, the effects of lateral acceleration felt by a seat occupant can be reduced. The shape memory material members can be selectively activated based on vehicle speed, steering angle, and/or lateral acceleration.
Vehicle seating system and methods thereof
A method for fabricating custom seat bolsters includes receiving a first image of a user in a first pose and a second image of the user in a second pose. The method further includes generating a 3D body scan model based on at least the first image of the user and the second image of the user. The method further includes determining a design for a set of seat bolsters for the user based on the 3D body scan model. The method further includes providing the set of seat bolsters for the user based on the determined design.
Cushion pad
Provided is a cushion pad, in which a seating body portion of a seating portion has a bottomless or bottomed first hole arranged at a position at which the first hole overlaps a pair of ischial bones of a seated person in a horizontal projection plane and three or more bottomless or bottomed second holes with areas that are smaller than an area of the first hole in a horizontal projection plane, a center point O51 of the first hole is on or inside a triangle TR obtained by connecting center points of any three second holes from among the three or more second holes in the horizontal projection plane and in the seating portion, the inside of the first hole is a void space, or a soft material portion is arranged inside the first hole.
Seat adjuster
A seat adjuster may include a support member and a fluid bladder. The support member may have a first end and a second end. The first end and the second end may be connectable to a seat frame such that the support member is disposed at least partially below a suspension portion of said seat frame. The fluid bladder may be disposed at least partially between the support member and said suspension portion. The fluid bladder may be configured to support said suspension portion. A change or adjustment of a volume of the fluid bladder may change or adjust the support provided to said suspension portion.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat may have a seat part and a backrest. The backrest may have a foam component with a cavity for receiving at least part of an airbag device. The foam component may be lined at least to some extent with a reinforcing layer arrangement in the region of the cavity.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat including: a back frame that forms a framework of a seat back; a back pad including a cushion material attached to a seated person side of the back frame; a back cover that covers a seated person side of the back pad; and an airbag unit that is attached to the back frame, the airbag unit including an airbag, wherein a break portion that allows the airbag to expand and deploy is formed to the back cover, wherein a fabric member that is difficult to stretch than the back cover is disposed between the break portion and the back frame, and wherein a buffer member that prevents damage due to abutment is attached to a portion of the fabric member which may abut with a part of the back frame in a process in which the airbag is expanded and deployed.
STRUCTURAL COMPONENT, SEAT COMPONENT AND SEAT
A structural component may have a carrier structure and a substructure arranged on the carrier structure and having a variable contour. The substructure may have an adjustment mechanism with a plurality of adjustment elements. The adjustment mechanism may be configured to adjust the adjustment elements between a compressed position and an expanded position in order to vary the contour.
