Vehicle seat and adjustment method for pad vibration characteristic

A vehicle seat according to the present disclosure includes a pad including a foam, and a volume adjustment mechanism that allows adjustment of a volume of the foam. An adjustment method for a pad vibration characteristic according to the present disclosure adjusts a volume of a foam included in a pad to adjust a vibration characteristic of the pad.

Seat back

A seat back configured to support a back of a seated person includes a back frame that constitutes an internal framework; and an elastic mat that is fitted to the back frame so as to cover the back frame from a front side, the elastic mat having a planar shape and being configured to elastically support the back of the seated person. The back frame includes a frame body and a support wire that protrudes forward from the frame body. The elastic mat includes a plurality of hooks provided on a back surface of a main support portion configured to support the back of the seated person, the hooks being engaged with the support wire to fix the elastic mat to the support wire.

UPPER THORACIC SUPPORT FOR VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY

A vehicle seating assembly including a seat and a seatback pivotably coupled to the seat. The seatback includes a frame, a sub-frame member, a carrier, a cushion, and an inflatable member. The sub-frame member is pivotably coupled to an occupant-facing surface of the frame by a bracket. The carrier is coupled to the frame such that the sub-frame member is positioned between the frame and the carrier. The cushion is coupled to an occupant-facing surface of the carrier. The inflatable member is positioned between the occupant-facing surface of the frame and an interior surface of the sub-frame member. The inflatable member is operable between a deflated state and an inflated state. The inflatable member initiates pivotable motion of the sub-frame member of an axis defined by the bracket.

VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY WITH THIGH TILT

A seat of a vehicle seating assembly includes a seat carrier, a thigh tilt housing, a thigh extension housing, and an inflatable member. The thigh tilt housing is coupled to a forward region of the seat carrier. A recess is defined by the thigh tilt housing, with the recess being positioned in an upper surface of the thigh tilt housing. A motor is received within the recess. The thigh extension housing is coupled to the motor, with the thigh extension housing being movable in a fore-aft direction relative to the thigh tilt housing. A fastener couples the thigh tilt housing to the seat carrier in a manner that permits pivotable motion of the thigh tilt housing along a vertical plane. The inflatable member is positioned between the seat carrier and the thigh tilt housing.

SEAT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

A seat device for a vehicle includes a seat cushion, a slow deformation portion, and a rearward-tilt member. An occupant in the vehicle is to be seated on the seat cushion. The slow deformation portion is disposed in at least a portion of the seat cushion and is configured in such a manner that deformation of the deformation portion proceeds as a result of a load to be applied continuously to the slow deformation portion. The rearward-tilt member is disposed in a load direction in an inner portion of the slow deformation portion. When the slow deformation portion is deformed by the load, the rearward-tilt member is tilted rearward from its position before the load is applied.

A seat device for a vehicle includes a seat cushion, a slow deformation portion, and tilted standing members. An occupant in the vehicle is to be seated on the seat cushion. The deformation portion is disposed in at least a portion of the seat cushion and configured in such a manner that the deformation portion is deformed as a result of a load to be applied continuously to the deformation portion. The standing members stand in a load direction in an inner portion of the deformation portion and configured to be tilted as a result of the deformation of the deformation portion. When the outer and inner portions of the deformation portion are deformed by the load, the standing members in the outer and inner portions and the standing members in the inner portion are tilted respectively forward and rearward, from their respective positions before the load is applied.

Vehicle seat

In a vehicle seat, a seat back includes a backrest on which an occupant sitting on a seat cushion leans his/her back, and banks supporting the back of the sitting occupant on both sides. Urethane pads configuring the banks are formed in a shape protruded to the front with respect to a urethane pad configuring the backrest, the back face sides of the urethane pads configuring the banks formed in the shape protruded to the front are formed in a recessed shape with respect to a back face side of the urethane pad configuring the backrest, and on the portions of the back face sides of the urethane pads configuring the banks formed in the recessed shape, protrusions having faces at the same height as the back face side of the urethane pad configuring the backrest and extended to the portions formed in the recessed shape are formed.
