SEAT BACK ENERGY ABSORBER
A passenger seat for a passenger vehicle including but not limited to an aircraft may include a seat base, a seat back, and an energy absorption system. The energy absorption system is spherically coupled to the seat base and spherically coupled to the seat back, and includes a dampening member and a support assembly. The dampening member is movable relative to the support assembly responsive to a load applied on the seat back such that engagement between the support assembly and the dampening member dampens the load.

A support driver for a seat and a support assembly including the same that is using a tube and a structure of a mat that is moved by an inflation and a deflation of the tube. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the support driver coupled to a seat frame includes: a support portion coupled to the seat frame; a tube coupled to the support portion; and a mat coupled to the support portion so as to allow the mat to be movable in a direction that is away from the support portion or in a direction that is adjacent to the support portion, with the tube being provided therebetween, in which the tube is configured to push the mat by being inflated according to an operation of a pump that is connected to the tube by a hose.

The seat adjustment system includes a seat body; at least one actuating unit, configured to adjust a support of the seat body; a sensing unit, configured to obtain and provide seat information and body shape data of a back of an occupant; and a control unit, configured to control the at least one actuating unit; wherein when one parameter of the seat body changes, the control unit makes a portion of the body shape data of the occupant in a pre-defined range via the at least one actuating unit.

The air cell is attached to the inside of the seat back in such a manner that each of the protrusions provided at respective end portions in the extending direction is fixed to a corresponding one of fixing positions separated from each other in the width direction of the vehicle seat.

A motor assembly for a vehicle seat assembly is provided with an electric motor having a motor shaft for rotation in a first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction, a first fluid transfer device driven by the motor shaft to provide fluid flow therefrom, a one-way clutch assembly driven by the motor shaft, and a second fluid transfer device driven by the motor shaft via the clutch assembly to provide fluid flow therefrom when the clutch assembly is engaged. The second fluid transfer device is decoupled from the motor shaft when the clutch assembly is disengaged. A seat assembly having the motor assembly, and a method of controlling the seat assembly are also provided.

An air pressure control device of a vehicle seat includes: a bulging shape forming unit configured to form a bulging shape on a seat surface by expanding air bags configured to be provided inside a seat; a bulging shape moving unit configured to move a position of the bulging shape formed on the seat surface by each corresponding air bag by sequentially expanding and contracting a plurality of air bags aligned in a direction along the seat surface in an arrangement direction of the air bags; and a pumping capacity adjusting unit configured to increase a pumping capacity of an air pump that pumps air into each air bag as a protrusion amount of the corresponding bulging shape increases when a formation position of the bulging shape is moved.

A vehicle seat device includes: a plurality of air bags configured to be provided inside a seat; a flow path having a shared section to communicate with each of the air bags; a plurality of intake valves each of which is arranged at a flow path position at an upstream of each of the air bags when air is pumped into each of the air bags; a plurality of exhaust valves arranged at flow path positions communicating with the shared section; and a control device configured to control operations of the intake valves and the exhaust valves, in which the control device adjusts a discharge speed of internal air by selectively opening the exhaust valves when the internal air of each of the air bags is discharged.
