Assembly For Adjusting A Lumbar Region Of A Seat
An assembly for adjusting a lumbar region of a seat frame. A support is provided for suspension in the frame and is movable between lumbar positions. An actuator having a chassis and a drive is attached to the support. A wire extends between a first end engaging the drive and a second end for attachment to the frame. First and second spaced guides are mounted to the support and slidably support the wire. An intermediate device supports the wire and has a mount for attachment to the frame. A conduit disposed about the wire has a first end coupled to the actuator and a second end mounted to the intermediate device such that movement of the drive moves the wire relative to the guides and the intermediate device so to move the first guide relative to the second wire end and the second guide relative to the intermediate device.

SEATBACK FOR AN ARTICLE OF ADJUSTABLE FURNITURE
The invention concerns a seat back (10) for an article of adjustable furniture comprising: a frame (12), at least one movable support section (14, 80) mounted for angular adjustment with respect to the frame; cam means (64) associated with one of the frame and the movable support section, cam follower means (58) associated with the other of the frame and the movable support section; actuator means (38) for moving said cam means or cam follower means associated with the frame with respect to the frame; whereby movement of said actuator means effects relative movement of said cam means with respect to said cam follower means and said relative movement effects angular adjustment of said support section relative to the frame to alter the seat back configuration. The present invention contemplates embodiments where the support section(s) comprise(s) an adjustable head rest (14), an adjustable lumbar support (80) or both.
PORTABLE LUMBAR SUPPORT APPARATUS
A portable lumbar support apparatus comprising a fabric panel removably mountable on to a backrest of a seat. The fabric panel comprises at least one vertical patch of loop fastener attached onto a front face. The apparatus further comprises a pillow comprising at least one patch of hook fastener removably attachable to the loop fastener of the fabric panel at different heights to support lumbar region in a seated position. The height of the pillow is adjustable for different users by attaching the pillow at different position along the vertical patch of the fabric panel.
Adjustable seat assembly
A seat assembly is provided with a seat cushion adapted to be mounted for translation. A seat back is adapted to be pivotally mounted adjacent the seat cushion. At least one actuator is operably connected to at least one of the seat cushion and the seat back for adjustment of at least one of a plurality of settings of the seat assembly. A controller is in electrical communication with the at least one actuator and configured to: receive a data input indicative of occupant anthropometry data, receive a mode selection input indicative of a selected seat positioning mode, compare the data input with predetermined data ranges for the selected seat positioning mode, and adjust at least one of the plurality of settings of the at least one actuator to a predetermined setting based on the predetermined data range.
SEATBACK COMFORT CARRIER
A vehicle seating assembly includes a seatback. A back panel includes a front closeout panel. A carrier supports the seatback and includes an upper thoracic region having a peripheral support. A peripheral gap is defined between the front closeout panel and the upper thoracic region. A bottom portion of the upper thoracic region includes a lower wall having a sinusoidal configuration. A lower lumber region includes a peripheral support. A peripheral gap is defined between the front closeout panel and the lower lumber region. An upper portion of the lower lumbar region includes an upper wall having a sinusoidal configuration. A plurality of concave connectors couple the lower wall of the upper thoracic region with the upper wall of the lower lumber region.

Adjustable firmness vehicle seat
A vehicle seat is provided herein. The vehicle seat includes a cushion disposed within a seating member having at least one inflatable first bladder for selectively adjusting the firmness of the cushion. An inflatable second bladder is separated from a support surface of the seating member by the first bladder and fluidly connected to the first bladder. A vehicle seat hip pivot point is maintained when adjusting the firmness of the cushion by increasing the pressure in the second bladder when the pressure in the first bladder is selectively decreased, and by decreasing the pressure in the second bladder when the pressure in the first bladder is selectively increased.
