Provided is a vehicle seat having a variable cushion length. The vehicle seat includes: a front panel of metal arranged on a front-end side of a seat cushion to form a frame of the seat cushion; a sliding device allowing a movable portion to be displaceable and including a sliding member of resin displaceable relative to the front panel in seat front-rear directions; and a bracket of metal that is coupled to the front panel in a manner displaceable relative to the front panel in the seat front-rear directions and that is displaced integrally with the sliding member, the bracket transmitting a load acting on the movable portion to the front panel.

Side airbag device

A frame side plate part of a frame member of a seat along a side surface of a backrest; and a bracket attached to the frame side plate part in a condition where an airbag cushion and an inflator are secured. The frame side plate part has a notch region where a predetermined range of a front edge is cut out The bracket has: a base part which is fitted into the notch region of the frame side plate part and to which the airbag cushion and the inflator are secured; and a reaction force plate bent from a front side of the base part and extends to one side in a vehicle width direction. Guide grooves are formed on an upper edge and lower edge of the notch region, and the base part can be inserted into the notch region from the front along the guide grooves.

Seat frame

To reduce the weight of a cross member bridged between right and left sides of a seat frame. A seat frame includes an upper frame forming an upper portion of a seat back frame, and a cross member bridged at the upper frame. The cross member includes right and left end portions in a seat width direction, the right and left end portions being fixed to the upper frame; and a first recessed portion that is recessed upward or downward and provided between the right and left end portions. The first recessed portion is provided at a center portion of the cross member in the seat width direction.

Each of a pair of side frames of a conveyance seat is configured from at least a first member and a second member divided in a longitudinal direction, the first member has a first connecting portion for connection to the second member, the second member has a second connecting portion for connection to the first member, and the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion respectively have flat surface portions extending in the longitudinal direction, and the first member and the second member are connected in a state where flat surfaces of the flat surface portion of the first connecting portion and the flat surface portion of the second connecting portion face and overlap each other.

A vehicle seat upper portion, having a front side, a rear side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side, and including: a frame structure; upholstery extending across the first lateral side and having an edge attached to a side trim list; a back panel at the rear side of and mounted to the frame structure including a main surface and two lateral surfaces; and a far side airbag module mounted on the frame structure including a side airbag, wherein the far side airbag module, on a side facing away from the frame structure, has a first hook, and the back panel on an inner lateral side has a second hook for engaging the first hook such that the hooks urge the lateral side of the back panel away from the upholstery to form a gap for passage of the deploying airbag, before the airbag contacts any of the back panel, upholstery and/or side trim list.

A panel is configured to be coupled with the seatback frame to cover the central space and form a planar surface along the seatback frame. The panel includes upper retention hooks and side retention hooks configured to be engaged with the seatback frame.
