Motor vehicle seat having a reversible sitting part with an opening for the passage of a base for securing a safety belt
A motor vehicle seat including a sitting part including a base panel bordered at least partially by a side panel, the sitting part configured to be mounted on the vehicle floor panel in two different positions of: a first accommodating position, in which the side panel extends in a first direction, at the rear of the base panel and forms a portion of the seatback of the seat, and a second reversed position, in which the side panel extends in front of the base panel, in a second direction opposite the first. The sitting part further includes an opening configured for passage of a base for securing a safety belt when the sitting part is in the accommodating position. A motor vehicle can include the seat.
COMPOSITE MEMBER, SEAT FOR AUTOMOBILE, AND COMPONENT FOR AUTOMOBILE
Provided are a composite member, a seat for automobile, and a component for automobile that suppress a decrease in strength at a connection place between a metal member and a fiber-reinforced member. A composite member includes: a fiber-reinforced member formed by impregnating a plurality of sheet-shaped core materials with a matrix resin; and a metal member joined to the fiber-reinforced member. The composite member has a structure in which a part of the metal member is sandwiched and fixed between a plurality of the core materials stacked in a thickness direction at a joint place between the fiber-reinforced member and the metal member
Method for producing a backrest rear panel
In a method for producing a backrest rear panel from at least one organic sheet, a plurality of reinforcing beads and a frame-shaped bead, which circles the reinforcing beads, are formed in at least one organic sheet. In a molding tool, a rib structure is formed in the circling frame-shaped bead on the rear of the backrest rear panel in such a manner that a rib structure closes flush with the rear of the backrest rear panel, with the result that an even surface is formed on the rear of the backrest rear panel. A bonded connection is formed between the organic sheet and rib structure with the result that a one-piece component is formed.
PASSENGER SEATBACK ASSEMBLY WITH THERMOPLASTIC ELEMENTS
A thermoplastic seatback for a passenger seat includes a thermoplastic peripheral structural frame for attachment to a seat assembly and a thermoplastic diaphragm overmolded onto a forward face of the frame. An aircraft passenger seat and a method of constructing a passenger seatback is also disclosed.
VEHICLE STORAGE CONTAINER, AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A storage assembly is usable with a vehicle seat assembly having a seat frame and a seat bottom. The storage assembly includes an upper ring configured for attachment to the seat frame. The upper ring facilitates travel through the opening of the seat frame, and defines a hollow interior with open upper and lower ends. A lower receptacle having an upper opening is configured for attachment to the upper ring, such that the upper opening is contiguous with the hollow interior of the upper ring. The lower receptacle includes an interior storage space that is defined by sides and a bottom, the lower receptacle being larger in size than the upper ring such that the lower receptacle is impeded from travel through the opening of the seat frame. The lower receptacle is configured to be insertable into the open space of the vehicle upon removal of the vehicle body panel.
VEHICLE SEAT WITH A CRASH-MODIFIED PANEL HOLDER WITH A PRIMARY FRAME AND AN AUXILIARY FRAME
A vehicle seat having a panel arranged as a trim part on a structure of the vehicle seat by means of a panel holder so as to be fixed to the seat structure. Provision is made that the panel holder includes, in addition to a primary frame, a crash-modified auxiliary frame, which frames are made of formed wires, wherein the auxiliary frame, in the assembled state of the panel holder and the panel, is arranged in a critical region of the panel where a high crash force acts on the panel in the event of a crash.
Vehicle seat
There is provided a vehicle seat including a seatback frame including: a first base member formed of a thin plate member made of resin; a second base member formed of a thin plate member made of resin and disposed facing the first base member; a pass-through portion that is formed to at least one of the first base member or the second base member, and that enables insertion of an injection nozzle for injecting a foaming liquid for a foamed body; and a core section that is configured by the foamed body, that is disposed between the first base member and the second base member, and that is adhered to the first base member and the second base member.
Seat pan for a passenger seat and passenger seat
A seat pan for a passenger seat and a passenger seat. The seat pan is corrugated for partially absorbing a downward loading applied to the seat pan through deformation of a corrugation pattern of the seat pan as a result of a counter force applied by a support structure of the passenger seat.
SEAT BACK
Described is a seat back comprising a curved rear wall bordered by a perimeter wall projecting forward from the rear wall. The curved rear wall and perimeter wall define a cavity in front of the rear wall and between opposing surfaces of the perimeter wall. The seat back comprises an upper part and a lower part. The lower part comprises a surface of the rear wall which is curved forward toward each side wall of the lower part and curved forward toward the base of the lower part. The width of the seat back tapers from a first width towards a second width at the base of the seat back.
SEAT BACK AND INSERT
Described is a seat back comprising a rear wall bordered by side walls projecting forward from the rear wall. The rear wall and side walls define a cavity in front of the rear wall and between opposing surfaces of the side walls. The seat back comprises an insert disposed at least partially within the cavity which is for supporting the back of a person leaning against the front of the seat back. The seat back and insert are shaped such that when the insert is positioned within the cavity, movement of the insert towards the base of the seat back is restricted.
