A personal securing system for securing people in vehicles with reversibly mounted vehicle seats includes a seat detector adapted to monitor occupancy of the vehicle seat, at least one belt buckle adapted to be brought into engagement with a buckle tongue, a belt buckle detector on the belt buckle adapted to provide a signal when the belt buckle is in engagement with the buckle tongue, and a controller adapted to process the signals recorded by the seat detector and the belt buckle detector. The controller provides an alarm signal to an alarm device when, with a vehicle seat being occupied, the respective belt buckle is not in engagement with the buckle tongue. The controller has an autonomous power storage device electrically decoupled from the vehicle for providing a dedicated power supply for the controller, the seat detector, the belt buckle detector, and the alarm device.

OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE

An occupant protection device, which protects an occupant seated in a seat, includes: a seat belt; a front airbag device provided with a front airbag which is placed in an area of a lap belt and inflates to cover a front of the occupant when operated; and a seat airbag device provided with a seat airbag which is arranged inside a seat portion in the seat and inflates so as to raise at least a front portion side of the seat portion upward. The front airbag causes inflation gas to flow into the inside and inflates so as to protrude forward and upward when operated and a thigh abutment surface abutting on a thigh of the occupant and an upper body restraining surface restraining an upper body of the occupant are arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the front airbag when the inflation is completed.

The disclosure provides for a system that includes a seat mounted in a vehicle. The seat includes a base, a back support, a hinge, and a seat belt integrated into the seat. The back support is capable of rotating relative to the base and thereby reclining. The hinge is between the base and the back support and is configured to lock the back support in positions in relation to the base. The seat belt has a shoulder portion and a lap portion and is attached to the seat at a shoulder anchor in the back support and a base anchor in the base. When a generated torque, created from a forward force applied by the shoulder portion of the seat belt, exceeds a threshold amount of torque, the hinge is configured to unlock and back support is configured to rotate forward from a reclined position towards an upright position.

REAR SEAT ARRANGEMENT FOR A VEHICLE, AND A VEHICLE HAVING SAME

A vehicle, and a rear seat arrangement for a vehicle, includes at least one backrest. The at least one backrest comprises a strut bar, and at least one of the at least one backrest is adapted to be pivotally folded into a backward folded position for connecting the strut bar to a mounting structure at a body of the vehicle.

Vehicle seat mounting system

A seat mounting system includes a seat frame having a support surface and first and second side surfaces downwardly extending from opposed sides of the support surface. Mounting members are supported on the first and second side surfaces. The mounting members each include an inner layer, an outer layer, and a deformable core portion disposed therebetween. The mounting members each include a mounting aperture extending through the deformable core portion, such that the deformable core portion surrounds the mounting aperture. A base frame includes a receiving aperture disposed through a body portion of the base frame. The base frame is operably coupled to the seat frame by a fastener received through the receiving aperture of the base frame and further received through the mounting aperture of the mounting member.

UPPER SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY

A seat back frame assembly may include first and second brackets coupled with and extending outwardly from the seat back frame assembly. The first and second brackets may define first and second recesses, respectively. A cushion assembly may include first and second sides. The first and second sides may be disposed within the first and second recesses, respectively. An upper hood comprising first and second ends may be coupled with first and second brackets, respectively.
