An upper-front of a seatback is cut, providing a hole at a position the occupant's shoulder may lie, and an engaging means able to engage with a shoulder webbing is fitted in the hole. The engaging means holds the shoulder webbing, which is wrapped around the occupant. The engaging means is, for example, a (second) buckle fitted in the hole. A second tongue (intermediate tongue) is mounted on a middle part of the shoulder webbing. The shoulder webbing is wrapped slantwise around the occupant's shoulder when the second tongue is engaged with the second buckle.

The disclosure provides for a system that includes a seat mounted in a vehicle. The seat includes a base, a back support, a hinge, and a seat belt integrated into the seat. The back support is capable of rotating relative to the base and thereby reclining. The hinge is between the base and the back support and is configured to lock the back support in positions in relation to the base. The seat belt has a shoulder portion and a lap portion and is attached to the seat at a shoulder anchor in the back support and a base anchor in the base. When a generated torque, created from a forward force applied by the shoulder portion of the seat belt, exceeds a threshold amount of torque, the hinge is configured to unlock and back support is configured to rotate forward from a reclined position towards an upright position.

The seatback further includes a frame and trim at least partially covering the frame. The guide can be operably coupled to the frame. The guide can be disposed at least partially above the trim. The seatback can further include an actuator with a piston to move the guide. The piston can be operably connected to the guide below the trim having a first position and a second position. When the piston is in the first position, the guide is in the first position. When the piston is in the second position, the guide is in the second position. The actuator can be a controller controlled pyrotechnic actuator.

An occupant restraint device for a vehicle includes a three-point seatbelt device, a shoulder cover, an attachment portion, and a hard pad provided inside the shoulder cover. The three-point seatbelt device includes a shoulder belt that extends from an upper portion at a seat width direction one end side of a seat back toward a buckle at a lower portion at the seat width direction other end side. The shoulder cover is provided at the upper portion at the seat width direction one end side of the seat back. The shoulder belt is inserted through the shoulder cover, and the shoulder cover is arranged along a restrained surface of the vehicle occupant sitting on a vehicle seat. At the attachment portion, a side of the shoulder cover at which a terminal portion thereof is disposed is attached to the upper portion at the seat width direction one end side of the seat back so as to be relatively movable in an up-and-down direction with respect to the upper portion. The hard pad is disposed between the vehicle occupant sitting on the vehicle seat and the shoulder belt in a region opposing a collarbone of the vehicle occupant.

The vehicle seat includes: a movable rail that is attached to a cushion frame with a spacer therebetween; a fixed rail that has a bottom wall facing the movable rail; a locking mechanism that locks the fixed rail to a floor; a first bracket that is attached to a cushion frame; and a second bracket that is attached to the bottom wall of the fixed rail and the locking mechanism in a connecting manner. The first bracket includes a concave portion. The second bracket includes a convex portion that engages with the concave portion. The concave portion overlaps the fixed rail if viewed in a direction orthogonal to the bottom wall as well as the spacer if viewed in a direction parallel to the bottom wall and orthogonal to a sliding direction.

The vehicle seat includes: a seat back frame comprising: right and left side frames disposed at a distance away from each other in a lateral direction; an upper frame connecting upper end portions of the right side frame and the left side frame; a lower frame connecting lower end portions of the right side frame and the left side frame; and a connecting frame made of a pipe member and disposed at distances away from the right and left side frames and connecting the upper frame and the lower frame; and a first bracket by which the seat belt retractor is attached to the seat back frame. The first bracket is provided on the connecting frame at distances away from the upper frame and the lower frame.

A vehicle seat includes: a seat back; and a seat cushion including: a first side frame; a second side frame; a front frame connecting front end portions of the first side frame and the second side frame to each other; and a rear frame connecting rear end portions of the first side frame and the second side frame to each other. The first side frame includes: a frame member including a closed sectional shape part between the front frame and the rear frame; a first reinforcing member being provided between the front frame and the rear frame to pass through an inner side wall and an outer side wall, and being joined with the inner side wall and the outer side wall; and a connection member connecting an end portion of the first reinforcing member with at least one frame of the front frame and the rear frame.
