Seat Assembly
A seat assembly for a mobility scooter has a seat portion for supporting an operator of the mobility scooter in use and a yoke arranged to receive the seat portion. The yoke has a mounting formation for mounting to a support member of the mobility scooter such that the yoke is removably mounted atop the support member and the seat portion is removably mounted atop the yoke in use. The yoke also has an attachment formation for releasable attachment of an arm-rest and a back-rest for the seat portion. The seat portion can be lifted off the yoke as a first component. The yoke can be lifted off the support member as a further component when removing the seat assembly from the mobility scooter
Seat assembly
A method is provided for enhancing comfort of a seat with a hip/thigh support and a back support. The method includes providing a seating pad assembly with a foam cushion made at least partly of a viscoelastic foam and having a cover formed from a dimensionally stable non-stretch material. An upper area of the seating pad assembly is attached to an upper area of the seat back. Pelvic and upper back areas of a person sitting on the seat deform the viscoelastic foam sufficiently to provide a comfortable support and to define anchors for the seating pad assembly. The non-stretch cover extends between those anchors for effectively supporting and cradling the lumbar back area of the person in the seat above and forward of the corner between the seat back and the hip/thigh support.
Seat systems for emergency vehicles
A seat assembly for an emergency vehicle can include an adjustable base seat and backrest, a tank support assembly configured to selectively secure tanks of different sizes, and a tank clamp assembly configured to selectively secure tanks having bottom tank ends of different configurations. Slidably adjusting the base seat can cause adjustment of a recline angle of the backrest. One or more pads on the seat can be removable. The tank support assembly can include first and second tank securements and a locking member configured to rotate to selectively dispose the first or second tank securement to secure a tank. The tank clamp assembly can include a fixed foot clamp, a movable foot clamp, and an adjustment device configured to slide the movable foot clamp to selectively clamp the bottom tank ends of different sizes between the movable foot clamp and the fixed foot clamp.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat comprises a seating portion and a back rest the angle of inclination is adjustable in relation to the seating portion, where at least the back rest is of modular design made of a plurality of upholstered elements, the upholstered elements each comprising a preformed foam part surrounded, at least in part, by a cushion cover, the upholstered elements made in this manner are put together via fasteners in modular fashion to form the back rest adjustable in inclination.
Mat attachment structure of seatback and vehicle seat
A mat attachment structure of a seatback includes: a guide wire attached to the mat and provided, at the distal end part, with a straight portion extending in a longitudinal direction of the seatback frame on a tip side of the seatback frame or its root side; and a through-hole formed in the seatback frame and through which the straight portion is insertable. The through-hole is provided with a protruding part which includes a high protruding portion and a low protruding portion formed adjacent to the high protruding portion. In a first movement of the mat, the straight portion moves in a de-insertion direction while coming into contact with the high protruding portion. As the amount of movement of the mat gets larger than the amount of movement of the first movement, a contact position between the straight portion and the protruding part moves toward the low protruding portion.
Modular seating system
Apparatus and methods are provided for a modular vehicle seating system. In one embodiment the seating system has a universal center module that is mountable to a seating position in a vehicle and includes seat pan and seat back portions. The seating system may further include a matched pair of modular side bolsters selectable from an assortment of matched pairs of side bolsters, where each matched pair has a particular physical property defined by a unique value in a range of values of the physical property in the assortment. The side bolsters are detachably connectable to the to left and right sides of the universal center module with fasteners.
Passenger seat with suspended seat diaphragm
Described are passenger support assemblies for a passenger seat, including an expandable inner frame that attaches the passenger support assembly with a seat frame and an expansion mechanism that allows the expandable inner frame to change in width, and an outer frame that includes two side frame elements connected with the expandable inner frame and extending beyond the expandable inner frame, the outer frame configured to change in width in response to a change in width of the expandable inner frame. A diaphragm can held in tension by the two side frame elements of the outer frame to define a seating surface.
Cushion
Provided is a cushion including a pad, an envelope, and a support pad set. The pad has a sunken portion. The envelope is disposed on the pad. The envelope has a pocket-shaped body. A plurality of coupling portions is disposed at edges of the body. The support pad set includes an upper foam pad, a lower foam pad, and a soft gel pad. The support pad set is disposed in the body of the envelope.
