A portable seat cushion for placement on a seat for added comfort and support is provided that includes an elongated rectangular base comprising a front portion, seat portion, and back portion. The base includes a top surface and a bottom surface. The seat cushion also includes a generally wedge-shaped main cushion, and a generally rectangular-shaped back cushion, wherein the main and back cushions engage the base. The seat cushion is moveable between a deployed configuration and a rolled configuration.

The support device has a first elongated bolster cushion configured to support a first thoracic side of the user, a second elongated bolster cushion configured to support a second thoracic side of the user, a first adjustable strap coupled to a upper portion of the first elongated bolster cushion and an upper portion of the second elongated bolster cushion such that the strap connects each of the first and second elongated bolster cushions on their respective lower portions, a second adjustable strap coupled to a lower portion of the first elongated bolster cushion and a lower portion of the second elongated bolster cushion such that the strap connects each of the first and second elongated bolster cushions on their respective lower portions, wherein when the first adjustable strap is tightened the upper portions of the first and second elongated bolsters move towards each other such that the first and second elongated bolsters for a tapered shape with respect to the other to support the user's thoracic sides, neck, head of the user or any combination thereof.

A vehicle seating unit comprising a seat frame, a back panel, and a seat panel, the seat frame has a horizontal portion adapted to receive the seat panel and a vertical portion adapted to receive the back panel. The seat panel and the back panel are attached to the horizontal portion and the vertical portion by a plurality of panel fasteners and seat frame fasteners. The back panel top edge is secured to the vertical portion by a retaining cap, while the seat panel front edge is secured to the seat frame by a retaining hook. The back panel and seat panel are positioned in an interlocking arrangement whereby the back panel lower edge pushes downwardly against the seat panel, preventing the seat panel rear edge from being detached. The panel and seat frame fasteners prevent disengagement by hand, but can be overcome by a lever to facilitate maintenance.

Seat with backs are constructed incorrectly. The problem is the curve at the thoracic region in the chair back that pulls a person into a c-curve skimp. All previous attempts to correct this problem focus on the wrong area (cervical, lumbar or full back) or are shaped/sized incorrectly. The convertible seating system includes a backrest component that is pivotably coupled to a recessed compartment formed in a deck portion of the marine vessel, and a seat component that is pivotably coupled to the recessed compartment. The seat component is flush with the deck portion when the convertible seating system is in the stowed configuration and the deployed configuration. The seat component further pivots upwardly from the deck portion to permit the backrest component to pivot upwardly from inside the recessed compartment in the stowed configuration to outside the recessed component in the deployed configuration.

A magnetic auto upholstery panel has an upholstery fabric layer. A foam layer has a first side and a second side. The first side of the foam layer is adhered to the upholstery fabric layer. At least a magnet (or several) is attached to the second side of the foam layer. The magnetic auto upholstery panel is then placed in the desired position within the vehicle and the magnets attached to exposed metal surfaces. This is much faster than prior art methods and therefore saves the customer money, but it also is much easier to correct any mistakes made when installing auto upholstery.

A seat sensor array for use in an aircraft or the like, including: a passenger presence sensor operable for determining if a passenger is present in/absent from a seat; a seat back position sensor operable for determining if a seat back of the seat is in a reclined/upright position; a seat cushion engagement sensor operable for determining if a seat cushion of the seat is dislodged/removed from the seat; and a controller in communication with the passenger presence sensor, the seat back position sensor, and the seat cushion engagement sensor operable for receiving passenger presence information from the passenger presence sensor, seat back position information from the seat back position sensor, and seat cushion engagement information from the seat cushion engagement sensor and communicating this passenger presence information, seat back position information, and seat cushion engagement information to a crew member via wired or wireless means.
