Removable back shell for an aircraft seat
An aircraft seat that includes a seat bottom frame having a back, a seat back frame pivotally connected to the back of the seat bottom frame, and a seat back shell. The seat back shell has at least a front panel, a back panel opposite the front panel, and at least two side panels disposed between the front and back panels which connects the front panel to the back panel. The combination of the front, back, and side panels form a gap to receive the entire seat back frame.
Trim and foam assembly for a vehicle seat
A vehicle seating assembly includes a seat frame disposed between an integrally formed back panel and an inner close-out panel. A cushion assembly is operably coupled to the inner close-out panel. A composite support member is substantially encompassed by the cushion assembly. The composite support member includes attachment members projecting rearwardly from inside the cushion assembly that engage with the inner close-out panel. The attachment members include snap-fit features disposed at a lower portion of the composite support member. Retaining rings are disposed at an upper portion of the composite support member. An upper trim piece extends over a top portion of the seat frame, the back panel, and the inner close-out panel.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes: a seating portion configured to support a seated occupant in a seating posture; a shell portion configured to cover the circumference of the seating portion including side portions of the seated occupant from a rear side of the occupant; a first moving device that is configured to move a relative position of the seating portion with respect to a vehicle; and a second moving device that is configured to move a relative position of the shell portion with respect to the seating portion, the second moving device being configured to move at least side portions of the shell portion to a first position at which the side portions of the seated occupant is covered by the shell portion and to a second position at which the side portions of the seated occupant is uncovered by the shell portion.
Lightweight headrest assembly
A headrest assembly is attached to a seat back assembly by providing holes through a panel of the seat back assembly; providing loops protruding from a rear surface of the headrest assembly; inserting the loops of the headrest assembly through the corresponding holes of the seat back assembly; and inserting a retainer through the loops to fasten the headrest assembly to the seat back assembly.
VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE
A body structure includes: a center frame extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle at the center in the vehicle width direction; and at least one support member extending toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction from the center frame. The support member supports at least one of a steering system, a pedal system, a seat, and a footrest member.
SEAT BACK SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A seat back suspension assembly for a vehicle, disposed in a seat back frame inside a vehicle seat, may include a main wire including side wires extending in a vertical direction at left and right side thereof; at least one first support wire extending in a horizontal direction between the side wires at both sides thereof to allow both ends thereof to contact the side wires; at least one second support wire disposed to be spaced from the first support wire and extending in a horizontal direction between the side wires at both sides thereof to allow both ends thereof to contact the side wires; and a side guide injection-molded to cover the side wire and end portions of the first and second support wires contacting the side wire.
Modular passenger seat for an aircraft
An aircraft passenger seat assembly as described herein is formed from two primary and modular components: a structural frame that provides passenger support and dynamic load paths for the seat assembly; and a comfort frame that provides the passenger seating surface and the external upholstery layer for the seat assembly. If the seat assembly is designed for multiple passengers, then a separate comfort frame is used for each passenger seat location. The structural frame can be formed as a molded composite construction, and the comfort frame can also utilize a molded composite support frame. The support frame is used as a mounting shell for a fabric carrier that includes the external upholstery layer. The modular design and use of composite materials results in a significant weight and parts count savings relative to conventional seat designs.
Seat bottom assembly with self tensioning diaphragm and under seat access
A seat bottom assembly including a first frame subassembly and a second frame subassembly supported by and rotatably coupled to the first frame subassembly about a rotation axis, the second frame subassembly configured to rotate about the rotation axis between a first position and a second position. A fabric diaphragm has a fore end connected to the second frame subassembly and an aft end connected to the first frame subassembly. The rotation axis is positioned forward of the connection of the aft end of the fabric diaphragm to the first frame subassembly, such that when the second frame subassembly is in the first position the fabric diaphragm is stretched, and when the second frame subassembly is in the second position the fabric diaphragm is relaxed. In use, the first position may correspond to sitting and the second position may correspond to under seat access.
Seat for vehicle
A seat for a vehicle is provided which is capable of minimizing excessive depression in a region of a sheet-shaped elastic material corresponding to an occupant's buttocks while reducing components in a seat cushion employing a sheet-shaped elastic material. The seat cushion of the vehicle seat includes: a cushion pad; a left side frame; a right side frame; a front frame disposed between a front portion of the right side frame and a front portion of the left side frame; a rear frame disposed between a rear portion of the right side frame and a rear portion of the left side frame; and a sheet-shaped elastic material disposed between the front frame and the rear frame to support the cushion pad from below. The sheet-shaped elastic material includes a rigid reinforcement portion to minimize an amount of stretch of the sheet-shaped elastic material in a front-rear direction.
