Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes: left and right side frames disposed left and right separately from each other; a first support member disposed between the left and right side frames to support an occupant; and left and right second support members joined to left and right sides of the first support member and having left and right outer sides supported by the side frames to support the occupant in conjunction with the first support member. The first support member is a plate-shaped member, and has left and right ischial region through holes formed in positions corresponding to ischial bones of the occupant. The second support members are located at least partially within front and rear limits defined by an expanse of the ischial region through holes.
Seat frame side member
A seat frame side member includes a frame body and a structural attachment point configured to connect a seat feature to the seat frame side member. The structural attachment point includes a projection extending from the frame body to a distal end. The projection includes a seat feature receiving portion at the distal end of the projection and a seat feature seating portion between the seat feature receiving portion and the frame body, and the seat feature receiving portion has a cross-sectional thickness that is different from a cross-sectional thickness of the seat feature seating portion. The seat frame side member can have an anisotropic microstructure with a plurality of layers built by additive manufacturing.
SEAT SUPPORT
A seat support is provided with a plurality of layers of a non-foam material to mount to a seat frame and to support an occupant upon the seat frame. The plurality of layers is stacked upon each other. At least one of the plurality of stacked layers has a generally uniform thickness.

Seat assembly and seatback
A seat assembly may include a seatback frame, a primary carrier, an airflow duct, and a plurality of airflow outlets. The primary carrier may be connected to the seatback frame. The airflow duct may be defined at least partially by the primary carrier. The plurality of airflow outlets may extend through the primary carrier to an external surface and may be in fluid communication with the airflow duct.
Seat assembly having interchangeable cartridge assemblies for adjustable comfort settings
A seat assembly includes a seatback having a cushioned component pivotally coupled to the seatback and operable between deployed and retracted positions. The cushioned component includes an interior cavity. A rack assembly is positioned within the interior cavity and includes a forward-most rack with a first receiving area. The rack assembly further includes a rearward-most rack having a second receiving area. A first cartridge assembly is removeably received in the first receiving area of the rack assembly. A second cartridge assembly is removeably received in the second receiving area of the rack assembly. The rack assembly may also include one or more intermediate rack assemblies positioned between the forward-most and rearward-most rack assemblies for supporting other intermediate cartridge assemblies. Each cartridge assembly includes a different density profile for providing variated comfort settings to the seatback of the seat assembly.
SEAT ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE SEAT, METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A SEAT ASSEMBLY, AND VEHICLE SEAT
A seat assembly for a vehicle seat may have a structural component with multiple reinforcing ribs, a cushion layer, an insert layer which is arranged between the structural component and the cushion layer, at least one component which is secured to the structural component, and at least one securing device. The at least one securing device may secure both the insert part as well as the component to the structural component. A method for assembling such a seat assembly is also described. In one method step, the insert part is secured to the structural component by at least one securing device, and in the same method step or a subsequent method step or a preceding method step the at least one component is secured to the at least one securing device. A vehicle seat have such a seat assembly is also provided.

Vehicle seat ventilation mechanism and vehicle seat
By promoting air circulation, heat and humidity are reduced more efficiently. A vehicle seat ventilation mechanism includes: a body case which is provided in a cushioning material of at least one of a seat cushion and a seat back and whose interior is an air circulation space; a fan disposed in the body case; and an exhaust port which is provided at a position apart from the fan and discharges an air stream created by air suction by the fan. The air stream enhances the comfort of a microclimate condition on a vehicle seat side which is a rear side of a contact surface, and with this microclimate condition, a thermal environment on a seat occupant side having an increased causal factor of discomfort is replaced, thereby making it possible to enhance the comfort of the clothing microclimate.
SUSPENSION MAT FOR VEHICLE SEAT WITH GUIDING SUPPORT FOR ELECTRICAL CABLES
A suspension mat for a vehicle seat comprises a spring element, and a guiding support for at least one electrical cable. The guiding support is molded onto the spring element.
