Seat comprising a swivel armrest module
A vehicle seat having a backrest, a seat extending in a transverse direction from a first side edge to a second side edge, and a seat module. The armrest module includes a body and an armrest supported by this body, and is able to move relative to the seat between a home position where the armrest laterally extends the seat or is lower than the seat so as to be able to receive an occupant, and a rest position where the armrest is higher than the seat so as to be able to receive the arm of the occupant sitting on the seat. The armrest module has a substantially flat shape in a vertical plane, and has a thickness extending in the transverse direction.
Vehicle seat assemblies
A seat assembly is configured to be positioned within an interior cabin of a vehicle. The seat assembly includes a seat support structure that is configured to connect to a floor structure within the interior cabin of the vehicle. The seat support structure includes a seat base and a front end opposite from a rear end. Arm rests are pivotally coupled to the seat support structure. A seat back is pivotally coupled to the seat support structure proximate to pivotal coupling of the arm rests to the seat support structure. In at least one other embodiment, a seat back coupling upwardly and rearwardly extends from a middle portion of the rear cross beam. A seat back includes a narrowed mounting portion that pivotally couples to the seat back coupling without interfering with knee space formed in a back side of the seat back.
ROTARY BACKREST RECLINE MECHANISM
A backrest recline mechanism including a first shaft attachable to a first seat assembly component and a second shaft attachable to a second seat assembly component. The first shaft has a slotted ring defining capture slots and an interior annular space. A control ring has a first end disposed in the annular space. The second shaft is engaged with a second end of the control ring. A first collar, having a plurality of release recesses, is rotatably disposed around the slotted ring. First bearings respectively retained within the capture slots are beneath the first collar. In a first rotational position of the first collar, the plurality of release recesses align with the capture slots to rotationally disengage the first and second components. In a second rotational position, the release recesses misalign with the capture slots to rotationally engage the first and second seat assembly components.
LOCK MECHANISM FOR ROTARY COMPONENT CONTROL
A lock mechanism for controlling a rotating component including an outer shaft attachable to a stationary component and having a slotted ring defining capture slots and an interior annular space, a control ring having a first end disposed in the annular space, an inner shaft attachable to a rotating component configured to rotate relative to the stationary component, and the inner shaft engaged with a second end of the control ring, a first collar rotatably disposed around the slotted ring, the first collar having a plurality of release recesses, and a plurality of first bearings respectively retained within the capture slots beneath the first collar. In a first rotational position of the first collar, the plurality of release recesses align with the capture slots to rotationally disengage the rotating and stationary components. In a second rotational position of the first collar, the plurality of release recesses misalign with the capture slots to rotationally engage the rotating and stationary components.
TRUCKER TRAY
A trucker tray is provided. The trucker tray has a planar tray portion and a perpendicularly joined leg portion. The leg portion provides a lower cutout for snugly engaging an armrest so that a driver of a vehicle can hold their food on the tray portion.
VEHICLE STRUCTURE
The vehicle structure includes seats provided away from each other in a vehicle width direction, a support provided on a vehicle floor, and attached between the seats, a vehicle structural part provided between the seats, and an armrest detachably attached to the support.
Lightweight vehicle passenger seat assemblies
Lightweight passenger seats that are especially adapted for use in aircraft cabins. The seats will include a seat back and a seat bottom having a basin which defines a recessed central interior space, a plurality of straps having opposed ends connected to respective upper edge regions of the basin so as to be positioned under tension over the recessed central interior space; and a cover cushion covering the straps and connected to the basin. The seat back may be connected at opposed sides thereof to upright support members adjacent a lumbar region thereof so as to establish an upper region of the seat back above the lumbar region which is capable of being resiliently flexed between upright and rearwardly inclined positions.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes a seat pad; a backboard disposed on a back side of the seat pad; and a seat cover covering the seat pad and the backboard. The seat cover includes a pair of covering pieces adjacent to each other on the backboard-side, and a slide fastener that connects the covering pieces. When the slide fastener is closed with use of a slider, an end portion of the slide fastener is projected from an edge end of the seat cover in a state where the slider is disposed in the end portion of the slide fastener. The backboard is provided with an insertion portion. When the end portion of the closed slide fastener is disposed on a reverse side of the seat cover, the end portion of the slide fastener and the slider are inserted in and locked to the insertion portion.
Partition and vehicle seat assembly including the same
A vehicle seat assembly includes a backrest, a seat including a seat surface, and a partition. The seat is movable between a seat folded position in which the seat surface is disposed along a front surface of the backrest and a seat unfolded position in which the seat surface faces up. The partition to be disposed adjacent to a side surface of the backrest includes a fixing portion and a movable portion. The fixing portion includes a base portion that extends along the side surface and a projecting portion projecting from the base portion farther than the front surface. The movable portion is movable between a folded position adjacent to the base portion and the front surface and an unfolded position away from the base portion and the front surface. The movable portion includes an armrest surface that faces up when the movable portion is in the unfolded position.
Safety barrier for aircraft seats
The safety barrier for aircraft seats is configured for use with a commercial aircraft. The commercial aircraft further comprises one or more seats. Each individual seat selected from the one or more seats further comprises an armrest. The individual seat is configured for use with by a client. The client sits in the individual seat. The safety barrier for aircraft seats is configured for use with the armrest. The safety barrier for aircraft seats comprises a knee shield and elbow parapet. The knee shield attaches to the armrest. The elbow parapet attaches to the armrest. The knee shield is a rotating barrier. The knee shield forms a barrier that prevents a knee of the client from entering the aisle of the commercial aircraft. The elbow parapet is a stationary barrier. The elbow parapet prevents the elbow of the client from entering the aisle of the commercial aircraft.
