Deployable seat armrest
A seat includes a seatback and an armrest supported by the seatback. The armrest is rotatable relative to the seatback to a deployed position. A swing bar is supported by the armrest and is rotatable relative to the armrest to a downward position. The swing bar in the downward position is elongated downwardly from the armrest. A drive belt is indexed with the armrest and the swing bar to rotate the swing bar to the downward position when the armrests rotates to the deployed position.
ARMREST DEVICE FOR A BACKREST OF A SEAT, BACKREST COMPRISING AN ARMREST DEVICE AND SEAT
An armrest device for a backrest of a vehicle seat may have at least an armrest body which is pivotable between a horizontal use position (UP) and a vertical stowed position (SR). The device may also have an armrest carrier structure. In the horizontal use position the armrest body may be located substantially laterally with respect to the armrest carrier structure and in the vertical stowed position the armrest body may be located substantially behind the armrest carrier structure. A backrest and a seat may use the armrest device.
ARMREST AND SEAT WITH ARMREST
An armrest includes an arm-side wire harness and an arm body member. The arm-side wire harness includes an electric wire and an arm-side connector on an end of the electric wire to be coupled to a mount member-side connector mounted on a mount member. The arm body member includes an arrangement section in which the electric wire of the arm-side wire harness is arranged and a mount member-side wall that is to be arranged opposite the mount member. The arm body member is to be fixed to the mount member while the mount member-side wall being opposite the mount member. The mount member-side wall includes a connector insertion hole through which the mount member-side connector can be inserted. The arm-side connector and the mount member-side connector can be arranged in the arrangement section. The arm body member includes an operation hole that is continuous from the arrangement section.
ARMREST AND SEAT WITH ARMREST
An armrest described herein includes an arm-side wire harness including an electric wire and an arm-side connector that is on an end of the electric wire and is to be coupled to a seat-side connector mounted on a seat. The armrest further includes an arm body member including an electric wire routing cavity in which the electric wire of the arm-side wire harness is arranged and a seat-side wall that is to be arranged opposite a seat frame of the seat. The arm body member is to be fixed to the seat frame while the seat-side wall being opposite the seat frame. The seat-side wall includes a connector insertion hole through which the arm-side connector can be inserted. The arm body member includes an operation hole that is continuous from the connector insertion hole via an arrangement section of the electric wire routing cavity.
Armrest
An armrest includes a bracket fixed to a frame of a seat, an armrest body member rotatably mounted on the bracket, a receiver coil mounted in the armrest body member, and a transmitter coil mounted in the bracket and transferring power to the receiver coil with a non-contact transmission system.
VEHICLE EQUIPMENT PART AND USE OF A GUIDE PART TO AN ELECTRIC WIRE IN AN EQUIPMENT PART
An equipment part for a vehicle having a base and having a pivot part which can be pivoted relative to the base about a pivot axis between a first position and a second position and forms a pivot joint with the base, and having at least one line between the base and the pivot part, which line includes a first portion associated with the base and a second portion associated with the pivot part. A guide device for the line includes a first part fixed to the pivot part and forming a first connection with the first portion, as well a second part fixed to the base and forming a second connection with the second portion, wherein between the first connection and the second connection the line forms a line store.
Vehicle passenger sensing and reporting system
An example embodiment of a system and methods for detecting and reporting whether passengers are seated and secured in their seats within a vehicle may include a passenger sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a presence of a passenger in a seat in a vehicle, a restraint sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a status of a passenger safety restraint associated with the seat, a transmitter configured to be in electronic communication with the passenger sensor and the restraint sensor and to wirelessly transmit data indicative of the presence of a passenger in the seat and the status of the restrain, and a reporting module configured to be disposed proximate a driver of the vehicle. The reporting module may be configured to receive the data from the transmitter, and output a respective status for each of a plurality of seats.
ARMREST ASSEMBLY WITH HIDDEN PIVOT SHAFT AND DISCREET RETENTION
The present disclosure provides an armrest assembly easily installed and removed while in service, and while also maintaining a discreet connection. The armrest assembly includes a pivot block holding an armrest and rotatably coupled to a frame member, for instance a fixed seat spreader. The pivot block and frame member have mating stop block features that allow the armrest to rotate while being restrained from motion in upper and lower positions. A central shaft common to the pivot block allows for rotation. A retention pin is installed perpendicular to the axis of rotation through the spreader and is received in an annular groove formed in the shaft to retain the pivot block while allowing its rotation.
VEHICLE WITH A REMOVABLE ARMREST AND METHOD
An armrest assembly for a vehicle and method of operating includes a body with a hinge receiver coupled to the top section. An armrest member is rotationally and removably coupled to the body and is movable between first, second, and third positions A latch receiver having a locking mechanism that operably couples to a latch is defined on the top section or the armrest member. A hinge feature operably couplable to the hinge receiver is defined on the armrest member. An input device is communicatively coupled to a controller, wherein the controller is configured to actuate the locking mechanism.
