SEATING ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE WITH SOURCE OF LIQUID SANITIZER AND NOZZLES TO DISPENSE LIQUID SANITIZER ONTO EXTERIOR SURFACE OF SEATING ASSEMBLY TO SANITIZE THE EXTERIOR SURFACE
A vehicle comprises: a plurality of seating assemblies, each seating assembly including an exterior surface, an interior beneath the exterior surface, a pressured supply of liquid sanitizer disposed within the interior, and at least one valve in fluid communication with the pressurized supply of liquid sanitizer that opens to allow liquid sanitizer to be dispensed onto the exterior surface. Each of the at least one valve are selectively positionable to and from an open position where the liquid sanitizer flows through the valve to allow liquid sanitizer to be dispensed onto the exterior surface and a closed position where the liquid sanitizer cannot flow through the valve. A controller, configured to receive instructions from a user interface, communicates with each of the at least one valve to cause any particular valve to move to and from the open position and the closed position.
Seat assembly including an armrest with a lever handle and method for making the same
Seat assemblies and methods for making seat assembly are provided. In one example, a seat assembly includes a seat base and a seat backrest. An armrest is disposed adjacent to the seat base and has an upper armrest section that extends towards a forward armrest section for supporting an arm of a seat occupant. A lever handle is disposed within a hand-length below the upper armrest section such that the lever handle is accessible to a hand of the seat occupant while at least a portion of the arm of the seat occupant is supported on the upper armrest section. A lever arm has a first end coupled to the lever handle and a second end pivotally coupled to a part of the armrest that is disposed below the upper armrest section such that the lever handle moves in an arcuate upward direction when actuated.
VEHICLE AND ARMREST
A vehicle according to the present disclosure includes a vehicle body, an armrest, a sensor, and an air blower port. The armrest is disposed along a side portion of a seat in the vehicle body. The armrest is disposed in the traveling direction. The armrest includes an upper surface on which an arm of a passenger sitting on the seat is allowed to rest. The sensor is provided on a side surface of the armrest. The sensor detects a hand of the passenger. The air blower port is provided on the side surface of the armrest and provided between the sensor and the upper surface of the armrest. The air blower sends out air from the armrest. The air sent out from the air blower port is changed on the basis of at least a detection result of the sensor.

A seat assembly including a first armrest having a first lateral side and a first mounting panel pivotally attached to the first lateral side, and a second armrest having a second lateral side facing the first armrest, and a second mounting panel pivotally attached to the second lateral side. The mounting panels are pivotable between stowed positions and deployed positions. A bridge table is removably positionable between the first and second armrests and has a first lateral side for mounting upon the first mounting panel and a second lateral side for mounting upon the second mounting panel, each lateral side including a respective engagement feature for releasably engaging one of the mounting panels. Seat assemblies and methods for making seat assembly are provided. In one example, a seat assembly includes a seat base and a seat backrest. An armrest is disposed adjacent to the seat base and has an upper armrest section that extends towards a forward armrest section for supporting an arm of a seat occupant. An armrest with cup holder for a vehicle seat that includes an elongate armrest can of the armrest adapted to be carried by the seat. An elongate storage area is formed in the armrest can, and the cup holder is mounted for movement along a longitudinal axis of the armrest between a stowed position within the storage area of the armrest can and a deployed position forward of and to the exterior of the armrest. When stowed, the cup holder is positioned fully within the armrest can. The tray table of the seat can therefore be used for purposes other than supporting a beverage container, and can be used when the tray table is stowed.

Each of the at least one valve are selectively positionable to and from an open position where the liquid sanitizer flows through the valve to allow liquid sanitizer to be dispensed onto the exterior surface and a closed position where the liquid sanitizer cannot flow through the valve. A controller, configured to receive instructions from a user interface, communicates with each of the at least one valve to cause any particular valve to move to and from the open position and the closed position.

A method for operating an airbag carrier is provided herein. The method includes the steps of moving carrier containing an airbag along a guide-channel of a seating assembly from a stowed position to a use position, and deploying the airbag into an occupant space of the seating assembly.
