MOVABLE ARM FOR IN-VEHICLE SUPPORT SURFACE
An assembly for a vehicle interior, includes a track and an arm. The track has a base with a front end and a rear end spaced from the front end in a first direction, the track also has a carriage coupled to the base for movement of the carriage relative to the base in the first direction. The arm is coupled to the carriage so that the arm and carriage move together relative to the base. The arm also is coupled to the carriage for rotation of the arm relative to the carriage about a pivot axis to position the arm at an angle to the first direction of at least 75 degrees, and the arm includes a first part coupled to a second part so that the first part is movable relative to the second part to increase a surface area of the arm.
Apparatus and method of producing a sensing substrate
An occupant or object sensing system in a vehicle includes electrical circuits for resistive and/or capacitive sensing and corresponding circuits shielding the sensing system from interference. A sensing circuit and a shielding circuit may be printed by screen printing with conductive ink on opposite sides of a non-conductive substrate. The substrate is a plastic film or other fabric that has an elastic memory structure that is resilient to stretching. The conductive inks used to print circuits onto the substrate have a similar resilience to stretching such that the substrate and the circuits thereon can be subject to deforming forces without breaking the printed circuits. The substrate may be covered with a carbon polymer layer to provide alternative conductive paths that enable fast recovery for conduction in the presence of any break in the printed conductive traces on the substrate.
Child restraint with cupholder
According to the present disclosure, a child restraint includes a juvenile seat and a child-restraint harness coupled to the juvenile seat. The juvenile seat includes a seat bottom and a seat back extending upwardly from the seat bottom. The juvenile seat further includes a cupholder coupled to the seat bottom.
FRONT ROW MODULE
Described is a stowable display apparatus (200) suitable for stowing a display, such as an in-flight entertainment monitor, in a storage module (110) located above a spreader or a seat bottom of a passenger seat (102). The stowable display apparatus can include an arm (228, 236) pivotally coupled to a mounting plate (222) at a pivot point (250) that is located above the spreader or seat bottom and proximate the forward end of the seat (102), thus enabling a display bracket of the arm to pivot upwards and out of an armrest assembly before rotating into a deployed position. The display arm (228, 236) can provide an easy, safe, and low-cost mechanism for stowing and deploying a display. The thin profile of the display arm allows a storage module (110) two inches wide or less to stow both a display and a table surface, each independently deployable and stowable irrespective of the other's position.
TABLE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A table apparatus for a vehicle including: a table having a substantially horizontal upper surface in a region directly above a seating surface of a vehicle seat; a heat source provided to the table and configured to perform heat radiation from a lower surface side of the table; and a table moving mechanism configured to move the table so as to change a position of the table with respect to the vehicle seat, wherein a position of the heat source with respect to the vehicle seat is changed by moving the table by the table moving mechanism.
Armrest table
An armrest table has an armrest casing, a frontward-moving stand, an upward-moving stand, and at least one table panel. The frontward-moving stand is front and rear movably mounted in the armrest casing. The table panel is up and down moveably mounted in the frontward-moving stand. The table panel can be rotated to be horizontal when moved to a highest position of its movement route. The frontward-moving stand and the table panel can be received in the armrest casing when the table panel is moved to a lowest position of its movement route. The armrest table is mounted beside the seat, and thus the passenger can adjust the height of the table panel.
Armrest with cup holder assembly
An armrest assembly with a cup holder includes an armrest frame with a cup holder frame. The assembly also includes a bezel with a bezel cup holder opening. The bezel cup holder opening is adjacent the cup holder frame. The bezel is retained on the armrest frame by a plurality of bracket latches. The assembly also includes a cup holder base. The cup holder base includes a base opening which is adapted to accommodate a beverage container. A base projection substantially surrounds the base opening. At least a portion of the base projection is located in the cup holder frame. The cup holder base is retained on the bezel by a plurality of base latches.
Automobile seat
An automobile seat includes a right seat, a center seat, and a left seat. The center seat includes a center seat cushion and a center seat back having one end rotatably supported for reclining to the side of the center seat cushion and raising therefrom. A belt is attached to the center seat back, while being grasped by a hand of a passenger for reclining to the side of the center seat cushion to be brought into abutment on the skin of the seat cushion. The thus configured automobile seat reduces fricative sound generated by collision and friction between the center seat back and the center seat cushion owing to movement up and down of the automobile in the reclined state, resulting in alleviated discomfort given to the passenger.
PULL ACTUATOR RELEASE FOR RECLINING SEATS
Seat assemblies including a substantially perpendicular pull actuator release are described. The seat assemblies can include a seat and a seat recline mechanism. The seat can include a back portion and a seat pan. The seat recline mechanism can include a gas spring, a control cable, an actuator, a frame, and a lever. The gas spring can include a release mechanism. The actuator can couple to a first end of the control cable. The lever can include a pivot location, a first arm, and a second arm. The first arm can couple to the second end of the control cable. The lever can respond to a pulling force exerted by the actuator on the control cable by rotating about the pivot location such that the second arm engages the release mechanism of the gas spring to allow the back portion to rotate relative to the seat pan.
SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE
A side airbag device including a cushion (104), an inflator (110), and a structure such as a rotating shaft (140) built in a seat (102). The inflator (110) has a gas ejection hole inside the cushion (104), a connector (136) on the other end side, and a stud bolt (112). The cushion (104) has a bag-shaped chamber (114), an extension portion (124) into which the inflator (110) is inserted, and a predetermined tab (118) held in the vicinity of the other end side of the inflator (110). The rotating shaft (140) is disposed to pass through a space portion (E1) surrounded by the chamber (114), the extension portion (124), the inflator (110), and the tab (118), and the cushion (104) is attached to the seat (102) by the stud bolt (112).
