Headrest
A headrest includes a frame made of metal, the frame includes a base plate supported by a headrest fixing device, and a cover plate disposed on an occupant head side of the base plate. The cover plate includes a cover panel portion, and a cover frame portion extending from an outer circumferential edge of the cover panel portion toward the base plate. The base plate includes a base panel portion, and a base frame portion extending from an outer circumferential edge of the base panel portion toward the cover plate, and fitted into the cover frame portion. A first part of the cover frame portion is joined to the base frame portion, and a remaining second part of the cover frame portion is enjoined to the base frame portion.
IN-SEAT SOUND SUPPRESSION
A vehicle system includes a controller that is configured to (a) store a plurality of passenger profiles regarding passengers of a vehicle where each of the plurality of passenger profiles include pre-stored characteristics of a respective passenger associated therewith, (b) acquire passenger identifying data regarding a present passenger in the vehicle, (c) identify a respective passenger profile associated with the present passenger from the plurality of passenger profiles based on the passenger identifying data, and (d) control a speaker positioned within the vehicle based at least in part on the respective passenger profile to emit noise-canceling sound waves to generate a noise suppression zone to suppress sound waves perceived by the present passenger.

Vehicle seat headrest equipped with audio speaker units
A headrest for a vehicle seat, comprising a support configured to receive and support the head of a seat occupant, and, connected to said support, at least one speaker system comprising: a speaker unit comprising a loudspeaker received in an airtight housing, a guide system for guiding the speaker unit relative to the support of the headrest, said guide system being configured so that the speaker unit can transition from a first usage position to a second usage position, and vice versa, the transition from the first usage position to the second usage position, and vice versa, corresponding to a movement combining a translation of the speaker unit and a rotation of the speaker unit.
In-seat sound suppression
A vehicle system includes a controller that is configured to (a) store a plurality of passenger profiles regarding passengers of a vehicle where each of the plurality of passenger profiles include pre-stored identifying characteristics of a respective passenger associated therewith, (b) acquire passenger identifying data regarding a present passenger in the vehicle, (c) identify a respective passenger profile associated with the present passenger from the plurality of passenger profiles based on the passenger identifying data corresponding with the pre-stored identifying characteristics of the respective passenger profile, (d) control a speaker positioned within the vehicle based at least in part on the respective passenger profile to emit noise-canceling sound waves to generate a noise suppression zone to suppress sound waves perceived by the present passenger, (e) acquire movement data regarding movement of the present passenger within the vehicle, and (f) dynamically adjust the noise suppression zone based on the movement data.

Multiple stage headrest
A headrest may be fixed relative to a seat or a bank of seats in a vehicle and can provide multiple stages of deformation in response to a collision event. The headrest can include a resilient member that deforms in response to a first force caused by the collision event. The headrest can also include a frame that deforms in a first manner in response to a second force greater than the first force and in a second manner in response to a third force greater than the second force. Such a headrest can provide improved impact mitigation for occupants, regardless of height and/or weight such that occupants ranging from the 5.sup.th to 95.sup.th percentile in height and/or weight are afforded similar impact mitigation despite a fixed headrest structure. In some examples, multiple such headrests may be conjoined.
Seat assembly
A seat assembly includes a first seatback and a second seatback. The first seatback may include a first seatback upper portion and a first seatback lower portion. The second seatback may include a second seatback upper portion and a second seatback lower portion. The seat assembly may further include an intermediate back section including an intermediate upper portion and an intermediate lower portion. The first seatback lower portion and the second seatback lower portion may be arranged on opposite sides of the intermediate lower portion. The seat assembly may also include a carrier frame to which the first seatback upper portion, the second seatback upper portion, and the intermediate upper portion may be connected. At least one of the first seatback upper portion, the second seatback lower portion, and the intermediate upper portion may be adjustably connected to the carrier frame.
SEAT ASSEMBLY AND SEATBACK
A seat assembly may include a seatback frame, a primary carrier, an airflow duct, and a plurality of airflow outlets. The primary carrier may be connected to the seatback frame. The airflow duct may be defined at least partially by the primary carrier. The plurality of airflow outlets may extend through the primary carrier to an external surface and may be in fluid communication with the airflow duct.
