SEAT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
20170225597 · 2017-08-10 ·

In a seat device for a vehicle, a dynamic damper comprises a damper case that is formed from first and second case halves joined together so as to be capable of separating from each other to define a damper chamber therebetween, a weight that is housed in the damper chamber, and an elastic member that is disposed between the weight and an inner face of the damper chamber so as to allow vibration of the weight, the damper case being provided with a mounting part that is mounted on a frame of the seat. Thus, it is possible to provide a seat device for a vehicle in which replacement of a weight and an elastic member in order to adjust or change the damping characteristics is possible, and the ease of mounting a damper case on a seat is good.

ADJUSTABLE HEAD RESTRAINT

A head restraint may include a support structure with an opening, adjustable flexible elongated members, and an adjustment mechanism. The elongated members may be attached to the support structure, may span the opening in the support structure, and may be configured to support a user's head. The adjustment mechanism may be configured to at least one of automatically and/or manually adjust tension of at least portions of the elongated members spanning the opening.

LIGHTWEIGHT HEADRESTS WITH SUSPENSION MESH AND SUPPORTING FRAME
20170320418 · 2017-11-09 · ·

Described are lightweight headrests with a perimeter frame 200 with an open central region. The open central region is spanned by a suspension membrane 100 held in tension. The suspension membrane provides support and cushioning functions to a passenger head without the need for internal structures or compression cushions. The perimeter frame of the headrest may have additional cross members spanning the rear portion of the headrest. These cross members may provide additional structure or locate attachment points for the headrest onto the seat.

Headrest element and headrest

A headrest element may have a central supporting region and two lateral supporting regions. The lateral supporting regions may be pivotable with respect to the central supporting region about a side pivot axis, which may run at least substantially parallel to a supporting surface of the central supporting region, in such a manner that an angle of the supporting surfaces of the lateral supporting regions can in each case be adjusted variably with respect to the supporting surface of the central supporting region. The central supporting region and the lateral supporting regions may be jointly pivotable about a transverse pivot axis, which runs at least substantially perpendicular to the side pivot axes, in such a manner that an adjustment of the supporting regions in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is possible. A headrest using the headrest element is also described.

TRANSCRANIAL NEUROSTIMULATION SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

A transcranial neurostimulation system for a vehicle, the transcranial neurostimulation system comprising at least one electrode formed into an article of vehicle furniture such as a headrest of a seat.

SEAT ASSEMBLY

A seat assembly may include a seat support configured to be fixed to a first mounting portion of a mounting surface; a seatback frame having an upper portion and a lower portion; a seat base including a seat base frame rotationally connected to the seat support, and a track movably connected to the seat base frame; and a linkage connecting the lower portion of the seatback frame with the track. The upper portion of the back frame may be configured to be rotationally connected to a second mounting portion of said mounting surface.

AUTOMOBILE SEAT WITH USER PROXIMITY TRACKING

Various implementations include seats and related systems for detecting user proximity and controlling one or more functions based on that proximity detection. In particular cases, the seats include capacitive sensors for detecting user proximity. In some particular aspects, an automobile seat includes: a core section; a cover over at least a portion of the core section, the cover having a set of capacitive sensors across a front of the seat; and a processor for processing signals from the set of capacitive sensors to detect a proximity of a user.

HEADREST SLEEVE AND HEADREST
20210387555 · 2021-12-16 ·

A headrest sleeve for assembly to a bracket fixed to a stay for supporting a main body of a headrest. The headrest sleeve includes a sleeve body formed in a tubular shape, a collar-shaped flange extending from one end portion of the sleeve body and disposed so as to be capable of contacting the bracket, a bracket-fitting section extending from the flange toward an opposite side from the sleeve body and configured to be capable of being fitted into a fitting hole formed in the lower bracket, and an anchor clip provided at the bracket-fitting section and configured to undergo elastic deformation and elastic recovery during the fitting of the bracket-fitting section into the fitting hole so as to engage with the bracket from an opposite side from the flange.

COMPOUND PADDING WITH GOOD SUPPORT AND COMFORT LAYER
20210387440 · 2021-12-16 ·

Compound padding having comfort layer and providing good support is revealed. The compound padding includes a support layer and at least one comfort layer. The support layer is a foam layer made of low-density melamine resin foam with certain support while the comfort layer is a foam layer made of hydrophilic polyurethane foam and attached to at least one surface of the support layer by an adhesive layer. Thereby the compound padding can provide effective support to user's body by the support layer and gives a good feeling and a sense of comfort to users by the comfort layer when users' skin is in contact with the compound padding. The compound padding has the advantages of low density, light weight and reduced cost.

IMPROVED HEADREST TUBE AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME
