Passenger seat with support structure defining empty space
A passenger seat includes a bottom support to be connected to the aircraft floor, a seat pan frame, and a support structure interconnecting the seat pan frame to the bottom support. A front support member defines a frontmost portion of the support structure, and has a top end connected to a front end of the seat pan frame and a bottom end connected to the bottom support. The front end of the seat pan frame is forwardly offset from a front end of the bottom support and the top end of the front support member is forwardly offset from its bottom end such that an empty space is defined across a width of the seat between the seat pan frame and the floor, forwardly of the support structure, forwardly of the bottom support, and rearwardly of a vertical plane aligned with the front end of the seat pan frame.
Movement adjustment system
In order to suppress a claustrophobic feeling that a person sitting on a rear seat receives due to a front seat, and to make the front seat easy to use as an ottoman by the person, a movement adjustment system is used for a passenger seat and a rear seat, and includes a slide rail for moving the rear seat in the front to back direction, and a control part for changing the movement region of the rear seat by the slide rail. The passenger seat has a seat cushion, and a seat back mounted to be changeable between an upright state and a lowered state with respect to the seat cushion. The control part changes the movement region so that the passenger seat and the rear seat can come closer when the seat back of the passenger seat is in the lowered state than in the upright state.
Tracking base assembly for aircraft seat
A tracking base assembly for an aircraft seat includes base rails mounted to floor tracks in an aircraft cabin by floor track fittings in fixed positions, the base rails connected by a tracking member for providing longitudinal tracking while minimizing added height. The base rails include tracking slots extending longitudinally, and the tracking member includes tracking elements translatable forward and backward along the tracking slots, allowing an aircraft seat mounted to the tracking member to translate forward from a retracted configuration into an extended or berthing configuration (and backward to the retracted configuration). The tracking member includes a locking mechanism for locking the tracking member and seat in intermediate positions within the tracking slots. The tracking slots may be oriented slightly downward from the horizontal to allow for gravity-assisted tracking or to counteract the nose-up flight angles associated with cruising altitude, providing for easier seat tracking.

A seat (1000) may include mounting components (1054a. 1054b) that may mate with corresponding components on other assemblies. The seat may include one or more features that may rotate or move to provide for coupling to the one or more assemblies. Assemblies include, but are not limited to, a stroller, a bicycle adapter, a wagon, a booster seat, a camping chair, a high chair, a stadium seat/picnic table, a hiking pack, an infant carrier, a car seat, a booster car seat, or an airline seat.

A notification system includes a seat; a luggage detection unit that detects a presence of luggage on the seat or in the vicinity of the seat, the luggage being held by a user; a seating detection unit that detects whether or not the user is seated on the seat; a notification unit that notifies the user of presence or absence information of the luggage; and a control unit that is connected to and controls the luggage detection unit and the notification unit. When the luggage detection unit detects the luggage after an elapse of a predetermined time from when the seating detection unit has detected that the user has left the seat, the control unit causes the notification unit to notify the user that the luggage has been detected.
Vehicular system capable of adjusting a passenger compartment from a child care arrangement to a second arrangement
A transportation system is disclosed. The transportation system includes a vehicle, a plurality of seating assemblies positioned within a passenger compartment of the vehicle and defining an arrangement, a plurality of actuators that effect movement of various components of the plurality of seating assemblies, a plurality of sensors, and a controller. Specific examples of pre-set or pre-programmed arrangements are disclosed, as well as the ability to customize the arrangement. Additionally, exemplary methods are disclosed that illustrate transitions between a variety of the pre-set or pre-programmed arrangements.

A vehicle occupant restraint device includes: a seat cushion on which an occupant is seated; a seat back that is provided on a seat rear side of the seat cushion so as to be pivotable in a seat front-rear direction and that supports a back of the occupant; an ottoman provided on a seat front side of the seat cushion so as to be pivotable in a seat up-down direction; and a fabric restraint member that is extended in a width direction of the ottoman to restrain a lower limb including a knee of the occupant when at least the ottoman is set in a raised position and the seat back takes a comfortable posture.

The present disclosure provides a vehicle seat having a legrest with a seat cushion function, which may mount a legrest on a back portion of a front seatback to be deployable such that a passenger seated on a rear seat may place and support a calf and a foot on the deployed legrest, and recline a front seatback forward to use the deployed legrest as a seat cushion on which the passenger may be seated while facing a passenger seated on the rear seat.
