A footwell assembly for a vehicle is disposed herein. The footwell assembly includes at least one foot pedal disposed in the footwell and operable between a use positon and a stowed position. A receiving member is positioned within the footwell and is defining a recess, wherein the at least one foot pedal is configured to nest within the recess while in the stowed position. A cover feature is operably coupled to the receiving member and is configured to cover the at least one foot pedal when the at least one foot pedal is nested within the recess of the receiving member in the stowed position.

A grommet apparatus for a vehicle having a first floor and a second floor, and including a pin, a post, a slot grommet and a snap grommet. The pin is fixedly attached to a vehicle floor. The post is attached to the pin. The slot grommet includes a slot-grommet base member and an attachment member attached to each other such that the first floor is positioned therebetween. The pin and the post extend through the slot-grommet base member and the attachment member. The snap grommet is removably coupled to the post and includes a snap-grommet base member and a connecting member that are attached to each other such that the second floor is positioned therebetween. The pin and the post extend at least partially through the snap-grommet base member and the connecting member.

Disclosed is a one-piece floorboard storage compartment (100) for a front passenger side floorboard of a vehicle comprising a lower tray (105) and upper tray (150) which may be one-piece and may be used on top of a floorboard basin (A) of a vehicle to conceal for an least one concealed valuable (315) within an inner compartment (240) between the lower tray (105) and the upper tray (150).

An automobile mat has a plurality of differently colored guidelines applied to one of both of its top surface and bottom surface, each to aid in the cutting there-along to create a mat periphery shaped and sized to properly fit one of a similar plurality of vehicle models.

A vehicle floor mat is provided for placement on a vehicle floor having surface irregularities, and includes a floor mat body having an upper surface, a peripheral edge, and a bottom surface. The bottom surface has an integral depending support structure provided with a variable height such that the shape of the support structure complements the irregularities in the vehicle floor. Upon the vehicle floor mat being placed on the vehicle floor, said support structure engages the irregularities and upper floor mat surface is generally level.

A multi-piece floor mat for a vehicle is provided. The floor mat includes a first section and a second section that are configured to assemble to one another to create a single floor mat assembly that spans across two or more floor regions of respective seating areas of the vehicle. The first section has a projection extending therefrom and entirely from a front edge to a rear edge thereof. The second section has a corresponding groove defined therein and extending entirely from a front edge to a rear edge thereof. The groove is configured to receive the projection to interlock the first and second floor mat sections. The projection may be provided with a stem and a bulbous head for additional securement.

A vehicle floor mat retainer includes a vehicle carpet portion including an engagement portion connected by a first hinge to a carpet retainer portion, and a vehicle floor mat portion including a cap portion connected by a second hinge to a floor mat retainer portion.

A retainer removal tool for a carpet retainer of a vehicle includes a shaft portion and a handle portion. The shaft portion has a cylindrical shape and includes an engagement tip has a hollow cylindrical shape and is configured to depress a tab of the retainer in a radially inward direction to decouple an upper retainer from a lower retainer. Further, a method for removing a carpet retainer of a vehicle includes centering a retainer removal tool over the retainer, depressing the retainer removal tool onto the retainer, disengaging a tab of the retainer with the retainer removal tool, and removing the retainer from the carpet.

A floor mat with integral grommet is provided for a vehicle having a floor with at least one upstanding post. The mat includes a core, an upper surface and an opposite lower surface, a grommet is integrally formed with the mat and contained between the upper surface and the lower surface. The grommet includes a grommet body having a first, upper edge and a second, lower edge, a post-engagement throughbore defined by the body. A flange extends radially outwardly from the body between the upper edge and the lower edge for engaging the mat core.
