HINGED CARGO LINER
An injection-molded cargo liner has a floor panel, at least one seat back panel and a plurality of accordion pleats joining the floor panel to the seat back panel. Living hinges between adjacent ones of the panels and pleats are made by reducing thickness. The pleats allow the seat back panel to travel with the seat back, as the seat back is moved forward and down. In this way, the cargo liner provides a continuous barrier against dirt and water.
Molded Lightweight Layered Floor Liner Construction
A molded lightweight layered floor liner construction includes a top layer with an exposed carpeted hobnail surface, a middle layer including a moldable thermoplastic coating on the back of the top layer, and a bottom layer having a downwardly exposed surface characterized by singed non-woven fabric. The floor liner is lightweight, molded by known molding techniques, impervious to water, liquids, mud, and debris, and resistant to sliding and bunching up on the factory carpeted surfaces of a vehicle. The exposed hobnail surface interacts very well with mechanical fastening systems such as the hooks of a hook-and-loop fastener system. Thus, accessories such as cargo organizers can be placed on the exposed surface of the floor liner, where they stick firmly until pulled away, removed, and repositioned.
SOUND-ABSORBING PANELS COMPRISING A CORE CONSISTING OF CONNECTED CELLS, WHEREIN SOME OF THE CELL WALLS HAVE OPENINGS
Panels comprising first and second layers and a core disposed there between, wherein the core has a plurality of walls providing a series of connected cells, wherein some of the cell walls have openings providing fluid communication between a series of at least 3 cells, and wherein the opening in a cell wall has an area that is at least 50 percent of the area of a side of that cell wall. Exemplary embodiments of panels described herein can be formed articles such as panels, walls, or other parts with curved surfaces. In one exemplary method, panels are shaped via thermoforming. In another exemplary method, panels are shaped via insert molding to provide the article. In another exemplary method, panels are shaped via compression molding to provide the article. The panels are useful for absorbing sound in a designed frequency range.
Floor mat with both interlocking and snap fit features
A floor mat includes a first section, a second section, an interlocking feature and a snap fit feature. The first section includes a flap. The interlocking feature and the snap fit feature connect the flap of the first section with the second section.
Clip assembly for all-weather mats
A clip assembly can be coupled to a vehicle floor mat where the clip assembly includes a top member having a cover, a gasket, first opposing body portions, an attachment member, and a first body. The clip assembly can additionally include a bottom member having a bezel, second opposing body portions, and a second body. The top member and the bottom member can be positioned and/or coupled in the vehicle floor mat with the attachment member coupled in the bezel.
Vehicle flooring component
A vehicle includes a metallic floor pan. A plurality of trim components defining a foot well is proximate the floor pan. A flooring component is coupled with the floor pan which includes a polymeric structural layer. An insulation layer is positioned on the structural layer. A sealing layer is coupled with the floor pan and extends to seal the insulation layer against the structural layer.
TWO-PIECE ALL-WEATHER FLOOR MAT WITH INTEGREATED SNAP-FIT LOCKING FEATURE
A multi-piece floor mat for a vehicle is provided. The floor mat includes a first section and a second section that are configured to assemble to one another to create a single floor mat assembly that spans across two or more floor regions of respective seating areas of the vehicle. The first section has a projection extending therefrom and entirely from a front edge to a rear edge thereof. The second section has a corresponding groove defined therein and extending entirely from a front edge to a rear edge thereof. The groove is configured to receive the projection to interlock the first and second floor mat sections. The projection may be provided with a stem and a bulbous head for additional securement.
